Ow, my teeth...

Why the riser, do you have some excessively chubby cheeks, or just to get the buffer tube lower on your shoulder?

Coming soon:
Primary Arms 2moa Micro RDS
SB15
Cerakote

OAL
22.5" by law
24.75" with AAC Brake

8.5" CMMG WASP Barrel
PSA Blem Lower and LPK
Fortis Upper and LPGB
DPMS Pistol Length Gas Tube
PSA UPK, BCG and CH
Midwest Industries 7" SS Series Gen II FF HG
Midwest Industries SPLP BUIS
Phase 5 Pistol Buffer Tube
Surefire 6P on unknown mount
HIT Sling MkII

It'll be a full year and about $1500 into this her by the time she's done.  I can't wait to start my next brain child.

ETA: Moved the 6P forward a bit in the last few days to provide more space for secondary attachment point and it allows me to get my support hand farther out on the HG. I might eventually look into a new mounting solution.

FINALLY got around to building my first AR Pistol...NOT to be my last one that's for sure.

This was a "budget build" that kinda went over budget.  lol

PSA stripped blem lower
PSA LPK, reduced weight JP Enterprises trigger and hammer springs to 3.5 lbs
Aero Percision blem stripped upper
PSA UPK
AR Stoner 7.5" 1 in 9 twist, 556, M4 feed ramps, light profile, nitrided barrel
Noveke KX3 flaming pig
PSA flip up back up sights
"Eofake" optic (not sure if it's legit Eotech or not, got it cheap and it works so I'm OK with it)
Phase 5 winter trigger guard
Phase 5 pistol buffer set
CCA saddle
PSA M16 full auto BCG
ATI scorpion pad grip
Magpul AFG
Magpul BAD lever
Amazon generic "milspec" quadrail with covers (was 12" but cut down to a little over 10")
Ambi sling mount end plate (no idea brand) with sling

Upper, lower, quad rail and buffer tube were all painted with krylon "oil brushed bronze" rattle can.
measures 23.5" end of flaming pig to end of buffer tube.
No idea when I'll be able to get it out and put it through it's paces.

fits nicely into the carry/storage messenger bag (this pic shows the bronze metallic of the paint)

zipped up and tucked away

Any recommendations on ammo to try for break in? I have a bunch of American Eagle .223 Rem 55gr that I was planning to use.  Works pretty well in my carbine.

Single point sling, pressure applied forward. Arms absorb all the recoil, shoulder is fine.

Tried that as well as the foam against the cheek, both methods just feel unnatural compared to the sig brace shouldered . I love the look of the Phase5/pistol tube though, very clean!

Any particular reason you went with offsets instead of a co-witness setup since you're using a non-powered optic?

It is powered but I'm not really worried about the battery, etc.  Just had the 45s laying around.  Also, was originally mounting the optic lower and the 45s were out of the way.  Will probably go with a co-witness set-up after I make up my mind about which BUIS to get.  I usually like low-profile BUIS and, as I mentioned, actually expected to mount the optic lower than I did but it's current height (standard) is most comfortable for me so low-profile (to keep out of the way) not a necessity now.  Have tried several BUIS in the past and own and like several different set-ups.  Hearing good things about the Magpul Pros.  Still looking into it.

Finally got around to building a pistol.

Probably going to put a Sig brace on it as well as a better optic, but right now I have $433.50 in it, That's buying everything not pulling parts out of a drawer, but not counting shipping of some of the parts because they were ordered with several other things not related to the build.

Specs:

Anderson Arms lower
PSA Lower Parts Kit
AO Precision blemished upper
Bushmaster BCG
LWRC free float Quad Rail
Unknown low profile gas block
Rock River pistol tube and buffer
Classic Arms 10.5 Stainless Heavy Barrel
