Here's my mk18 mod 1 pistol, until one day I SBR my lower. Until then this gal will do. No rounds through her yet, changing that tomorrow. Let me know what you guys think.
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee390/ops-35/mod1.jpg Parts List: DD 10.3 barrel DD low pro gas block/BCM carbine gas tube DD Mk18 RIS II FDE BCM BCG (auto) BCM upper Aimpoint ML2 DTI Virgin Lower (purchased with pistol permit) Regular carbine buffer/buffer tube My brother (RTUtah) and I's take on the CAA stock saddle: PVC pipe painted black, black duct tape, and para cord. A little ghetto, but gets the job done. The ends on the PVC open up on one end just like the saddle to store batteries or whatever I would want to put in there. |

Excellent upper! The lower, however....um, no. Why live in the ghetto, if you don't have to?

[xxx]OK, I think I'm finally figuring out how to post pictures. So here it is.[/xx]http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd476/NRAssociation/100_1805.jpg
Its a S&W M&P lower with DPMS parts kit, badger latch, pressure laser with offset rail, GSE upper(chrome lined) Spikes Tactical Nickel plated fail zero bcg and hammer, fake can,Spikes Tactical buffer tube assembly with the expensive buffer and spring. Spike's magazines with Mako adapter. And Hogue grip. I want to add front and rear flip sights plus a single point sling and ambi-adapter. My plans for this sucker is to take it short range coyote hunting. Its my #2 favorite gun. My #1 would have to be my G20 with ^' lone wolf and 200 grain double tap bears tooth. Both of these guns are a BLAST!!!!!!!!! |

I guess you haven't really gotten a chance to shoot it but what are your thoughts on the side charger? Manufacturer of upper and BCG please? I think I'd like to use one for a pistol build. |

|
yeah its a y/m national match i got it at rainier, it was 250 :p that was the most expensive part on the gun. my gunsmith told me that the side charger was more for forward assist than charging the bolt. but i have a regular charge handle so im covered both ways :P going to the range this weekend will report back with more details

oh and upper is a MEGA :) rainier arms has them

I want mine to look like this as well. I am contemplating using my M&P Tactical rails which are 10"...on a 7.5" barrel. I suppose I'll have 1/2" less of the pig sticking out. I'm not sure how that will look, as what you have is damn near perfect. Maybe I should go with a 7" barrel and 9" rail just like what you have here. |

Only aftermarket on it is the Vortex flash suppressor (will be replaced with the Noveske KX3) and a cheap red dot. http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m178/greenlude97/P3310050.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m178/greenlude97/P3310049.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m178/greenlude97/P3310047.jpg |

This has worked flawless for over seven hundred rounds and is a blast to shoot.
Thanks to reading about what works and what doesn't on this forum helped make this build turn out great. Thank you to those who posted what worked and what didn't.
