I finally got these two pretty much finished. I took the SBA3 off the Blackout. Used it for the 9mm, bought the SBM4 and APF tube for the Blackout. I've never handled the SBM4. I am stoked about it. I really like it better than the SBA3 to be honest. It is sturdy, perfect length with the APF tube and I like the weight. This really makes it feel like a rifle now. Soon I'm going to put a prismatic scope on the 300, a better sight on the 9mm, and build a 12.5" 5.56 upper to share on the SBM4 lower and use the Meprolight rds on the 5.56.

Thank you! I enjoyed the Tailhook last night, felt pretty similar to the SBA3 when shooting. And I definitely like the look.

I'm waiting on a Form 1 stamp for a suppressor, so my plan is to get it all painted at once to match here in a month or two (hopefully).

I really like the fully ambi features. Especially the bolt functions. All of my current lowers have ambi selector, mag release and charging handles just not the bolt function. I’m just curious if it’s worth it.

I am very glad that the SBA4 is coming; I am not too fond of how my more classic uppers look with SBA3s.

Agreed. I'm contemplating doing a similar one myself and slapping an SBA4 on later in the year once they hit the market. A good looking Commando style clone without the SBR hassle, what's not to love about that proposal?

Ordered one SBA4 earlier on today, waiting to get two more when I get it (preorder).
I can't get SBRs here; I would. I just would, but I can't. All I have and will have for a while will be pistols.

Yep, those both scream SBA4 please lol. I'm sure you will "find" a need to re purpose those SBA3s. Worst case, sell on the EE. They won't last too long there.

On the C7 upper one, I'd get a teardrop assist, drop the A2 grip for an original/repro A1 and get the skinnier older CAR15 style hand guards. Then along with an SBA4 that would look perfect. But hey, if they work for you as is, good deal. Enjoy em while you can before they get 86'ed out there. Or move back to one of the free states of America.
