Someone tried with me, over time - I think I reset them up pretty good.
They more careful now

ETA: time for another pistol. Replaced brace with SBA3, best brace I have tried so far.

Lol, ya must not follow the Mk18/CQBR thread... I post in there very regularly. There was definitely a time what you said would've been true, but for the most part, these days if everything else is acceptable you won't get shit for a brace alone.

Mine is pretty much all kosher, either issued or seen in the wild, save for the brace... and that'll be gone in a week or so. Stamp is approved, just waiting on the mail :D.

True..been a while since I've been in there. Glad people are coming around on that. I understand wanting to have to 100% correct - but the brace makes it easier to transport and some of us just don't like dealing with the NFA stuff.

Californian compliance with rules.
It's a quick take down that will break the action by rotating that pin; action broken, abide to the rules: you can now depress the magazine button and change magazine.

Complex to install but once there, functions great and avoided me to go either for registration AND/OR having my AR15s made featureless.

Which is never going to happen.

I am now compliant in my own terms.

Assembled the Anderson Lower using mostly DSG LPK, SBA3 arrived last night...finally have a use for my 300 upper again.

I cloned the AAC 9” upper that they we’re doing years and years ago using their barrel, KAC URX 8” Hand-guard and 7.62 SDN-6. Shot this upper a lot on one of my SBRs and then it just faded away to the back of the gun safe, I think it has found its permanent home and will probably become my trunk gun.

Running an H2 buffer and standard spring, now just need another GB charging handle...and some sort of light. So far I’m digging the Holosun. It’s my first cheap optic, we’ll see how it holds up. Saving pennies for a Aimpoint T-1, which will fit the ADM Mount that the Holosun is on.

Waiting for more funds to get more items for the build so it will take a little time.

Still updating this thing. One notable thing for me is the Ergo hand stop; when I saw one on an actual military Mk18, I went for it pronto.

Springfield Armory Saint Pistol .300 Blackout

My Home Defense AR Pistol-a Springfield Armory Saint .300 Blackout (only available for a month or two now).  Set up almost identically to my work rifle (S&W M&P15 16") except that work rifle has EO Tech, Troy Rear Sight, standard FSB, VTAC sling and XS GAT (Glass Assault Tool) on the flash suppressor.  And...of course is in the puny 5.56mm

Bonus shout out to Daniel Defense for helping me through a sight issue that was due to my own negligence.  I don't own a full DD weapon YET but I will based on this level of CS from DD.

It wasn't NFA compliant and it should NOT be done like that. That was a build photo, work in progress, and that forehand was still as it was from another build (I keep them installed like that). Took the picture, removed the VG.

It now sits as pictured here, right now, completely compliant - thanks for asking

I'm just waiting for my larue trigger to start my first build.

However,  i have this upper but can't find a mount for a light.. i bought a midwest industries dual rail that fixes to the front sight, but it doesn't fit the pistol build..

Anyone have any suggestions for a light mount?

I take it as a compliment

But it IS all compliant. ALL of my magazines are 10 rounders. All of them.
All my rifles - AR15s - are all compliant with a particular, CA compliant modification (non destructive, reversible) built by 33.3 Tactical.
It's sophisticated stuff and it works (i.e., I have to break the action of the rifle to release the magazine but I also have magazine loaders in case I don't want to break the action of one of my AR15s - which are in any case all modified according to CA regulations).

I spent a shitload of money to make them compliant - but there is no alternative for me; I will never, ever go featureless: I'd rather sell all my AR15s.

Featureless is an abomination. I am, naturally, waiting for a strike on the current ban - which will happen eventually.

Until then, I will break the action of my rifles to load them and/or release them magazines.

ETA: right here, babe

SB, not Sig.

Yeah, they really are churning them out.  I got a black one when they first came out and it's flawless.  No excess flashing or mold marks, all the corners and edges are perfectly smooth.

I got an FDE one a couple months ago and it looks bad enough it could be a China fake (but it came direct from SB).  Tons of excess flashing and mold marks, all the corners are sharp and rough.  It's gonna take a lot of sanding to make it as nice and smooth as the earlier production black one.

You could have gotten a lemon, though.
I just purchased mine last week (tan, pictured above) and it's also flawless. Truly on par with Magpul stuff, or in those whereabouts.
Really happy; that's why I bought three.

I'll likely pick a couple up before long to replace an original Sig brace and a Blade brace on a couple of my pistols.  Always hated the Blade and the old Sig braces are just too bulky and heavy but they did get the ball rolling.  Bad part is I bought 5 of the SB PDW braces not long before they came out with the latest and greatest and they were scarce and hard to find but I've been thoroughly pleased with them and love the look.

For those of you using the SBA3, what barrel length did you need to get an OAL of 26"? I know 10.3/10.5 is too short, so 11.5" or 12.5"?

SB Tactical CEO states they were instructed to measure OAL with the brace extended. To support this, during the ATF raid at Freedom Shoppe, agents measured OAL of weapons from muzzle tip to rear of brace. Not the buffer tube. This substantially cuts down the length required on your barrel. I'm running an 8.5" barrel with a pinned brake (10.5" total) and it puts me over 27" from the end of my SBA3.

If you plan on a folder... During the Freedom Shoppe raid. the same agents measured OAL of firearms equipped with a folding mechanism with the brace folded...to the contrary of previous ATF practices. Because people had a VFG on these, they were ruled illegal AOW's.
