My work in progress. Just received the Model-1 upper. I plan to switch it out with the SunDevil upper. I also have a new VLTOR flash hider for it. The scope is a cheapo-cheezy laser sight.

I am picking up the Young's MFG special bolt carrier/spring later this week. This gun has been test fired by Sun Devil, but not with my bolt/carrier. I will test this weekend.

IT IS FINALLY OVER...DONE!(just waiting on magpul ASAP and sling...nothing else will be added...)
I have been wanting to have a true "range toy" for some time, due to the nature of it I always placed it at the end of the projects list. I saw a Charles Daly "M4" and was impressed...I decided that I wanted one of their lowers for a "pistol build". As a bonus, I have personally not seen a Charles Daly "AR Pistol"-I think someone posted one in this thread- and here she is: 
Upper: M1S 7.5 chrome-lined 1-9 Lower: Charles Daly BCG: BCM (purchased the parts separate...I did not want the "logo") Grip: Magpul Miad RRA receiver extension (pistol buffer tube) Color filled: Gloss Black: CD logo and information below logo (minus S#) Fire Engine Red: "Fire" on both sides of lower, magpul logo (grip and grip "cover") Gloss White: "Safe" on both sides of lower and safety notch The "bright spots" is oil from my hands -I oiled the crap out of the upper  ...will be leaving like that overnight)
FWIW: I edited the background on the picture and "cut" some areas...trigger...lower mag......so the trigger, mag and rear extension are intact!!(did not want to setup lighting, tripod, etc...so this picture will have to do!) |
