I do it so I don't confuse them with my 5.56s, which are all 30 rounders. Is there some other reason 20s seem to be more common in 300s that I'm just unaware of?

20s just look better with magnified optics. Also, they make a compact gun even more compact.

Just got back from breaking the new 9” 300BLK... it’s a sweet shooter for sure, even with the cheapo BSA Red Dot. Still debating between a Romeo4, Vortex, PA Red Dot, or going with a 1-4x. Really like the look of the 1-4x but this is a HD build so a RD seems to make more sense.

Like it...i just reconfiged my 300BO (budget on some stuff, expensive on others lol, this build is in constant flux) to make it a little lighter and suppressor ready.

My pic 2 up from your post has a 10.5" barrel with a SDN6, which is 7.5" long...

Started out as a CMMG M7 that I SBR'd myself, then had the 7.3" 5.56 barrel swapped out for an 8" 300 blackout barrel. I keep thinking about upgrading the forearm, but the balance feels so right with or without the can.
