My first .300.

DSG/Seekins "Black Friday" upper. I'd been pondering a .300BLK for a while, but wanted a SBR. A bud sent me the link to DSG's Black Friday sale & I had to jump on it. Built on the cheap with a $38 Anderson lower, PSA LPK (with ALG ACT trigger) I caught on sale, same with the MOE Carbine stock "kit". Troy irons, HK-style front & di-opter rear. <$900 into it, including stamp.

Fun little gun. Ran flawlessly with the UMC/Barnes 120 gr. Gun's as accurate as I am, with irons. Very happy with it, so far. Been researching Form-1 suppressors lately & am thinking this really needs a 6" Ti can.

That's an Silencerco silencer case with an SWR silencer. How did you do that?

How's the balance on the PDW with the can?  Looks like an awesome set up but visually it looks front heavy.

It's not that bad, a tad front heavy but still manageable.

I love your build. I am planning on almost the same thing.
Question: Can you measure from the start of the barrel to the end of the suppressor? I am wondering how long it is. Also, what rail is that? Thank you.

I'll try to get a measurement for you. The rail is a chopped down LaRue rail to right about where a 7" factory one would sit. I just happened to have a longer, unused one that I cannibalized.

ETA: What optics have people preferred for the .300 BLK. I'm thinking about getting a low power variable and possibly one with a BDC reticle.

I've got a Meopta 1-4x on my 16" 300. The reticle has three chevrons for BDC. It's designed for 5.56mm, but has a corresponding chart for 7.62x39 which is quite close to the 300. It is also daylight bright.

Start with it a couple clicks off closed, one round in the magazine only.  Load and fire, and if it doesn't lock back, open it one click.

Repeat until it locks back reliably.

Check it out.

Its a hoot to build and shoot, and a lot less flash than a .223/5.56 that I have in 11.5 SBR in Jail waiting on my papaerwork.
That one I got barrel and gas block from DS Arms.

That would only be necessary with a few cans.  Most don't require tools or access to the back of the can, you just twist and go.
