First stage with the .300 back in June when I first got it together.  I had it tuned for Rem 220gr subs, so when I went to the Gemtech 187's I had occasional failure to lock back after the first mag (10rd) like in this vid.  Still won the match though.  Opened it up a touch more and no more issues.
S.O. had to be all up on the gun for the last shot or the timer wouldn't pick it up.

Kind of a short simple stage, wide angle on the Contour makes it look a little sketch.  I forgot to record the rest of the stages, they were much better.

8" Alpha barrel, YHM Ti30 QD

Current setup was posted earlier with the hogs.

To give some size reference, since not everyone can picture the size of an AK:

I just used a black sharpie to darken the front of the CF tube, it looks a lot better, I only noticed it in the pictures.

Two questions,  is that the KAK Enhanced tube?   Is that as far as the SBX will slip on? Thanks!

It's the SUPER buffer tube!

That's as far as the SBX goes. I didn't realize that I needed the KAK spacer kit even if I stuffed the stock brace all the way in... it's on the way now to fill that ugly gap. I haven't compared the two but maybe the SB15 is a little longer? My SB15 fits perfectly on my old KAK tube.

Samson Quick Flip PVS14/Magnifier Interlocking Mount - QF-PVS14-EO

Caught it on sale from Amazon over the holidays, aside from the PVS-14, itself, and the can, probably the single most expensive part on the weapon. It does work very, very well and the flip to the side feature and quick on/off ability make it nearly a must-have for use with the NV, IMO.

The Vortex SPARC II optic ahead of the PVS-14 works exceptionally well, too. The lowest brightness setting gives a very clearly defined aiming point w/o risking burning the screen.

I used a pig tail pistol length gas tube. The increased dwell time allows running subsonics much easier, with or without the Phantom can.

Got a little more work to do. Need to form baffles for the Form 1 can, need an Eotech, and rear BUIS.

It's got an 8" barrel and an 8" can. Balances really nice.

My 300 BLK optic evolution

First when it was a pistol it sported a PA MD06 in LT660

Got stamp back and went with a B5 and EXPS3-0

Then got the Mini Recce itch and put a Vortex PST in SPR-S and switch to a CTR

Setup was cool, easy to switch zero from supers to subs, like in the video below

But I really miss the lightweight rifle and I only really want to shoot subs so ordered the new PA Advanced Micro Dot and going to put it in the LT660

I'll post pics this weekend when it gets here. The reviews look great on it, I was going to get a T1, but figured id give this new model a go...

100yd

I find the 300 BLK BDC scopes don't really line up with what the bullets are actually doing because they do not account for windage variation from one load to the next.. I used to run 3 different loads. A 1400 fps 150 fmj plinker load, a 2000 fps 125 SST hunting load, and a 1000 fps subsonic load. From the 150gr zero at 100yd the subs dropped about 1 mil low and 1/2 mil left and the 125 load shot 1 mil high and 4/5 mil right.

I tried to take the 150 and 125 load out to 300 and 400 yards but had no real luck on a 7x10 plate, I don't believe the 150 load was still stable at those velocities because of the low fps. I have no idea why the 125 sst wasn't slamming the steel my data and dope were good but anything past 200 yd and it was all over the place. Plus the sst wont expand very well at 200 yd velocity.

Anyways, anything with adjustable turrets is a good choice for BLK if you shoot different loads on a regular basis. After much deliberation I came to the conclusion that I only really want to shoot subsonic in this rifle and an occasional hunting trip with it, for that I will use 110 Tac TSX with a 200 yd zero as that's my average shot where I hunt and those will get full expansion at very low velocity.

Here is a little subsonic fun while waiting on my LT660 mount!
