Awesome weapon! Can someone help me with this barrel/rail length? And I'm guessing this is one of those SSS brake covers right?

thanks , the acog is actually a TA31H-G.  i haven't shot it on the gun yet but at the distances i'll be shooting i don't think the bdc will come into play anyways.  i hope to get out this weekend and get it sighted in and see how she runs with the can on , it's been a long wait.

Just finished my Blackout build.  The best part is that I fired over 200 rounds of factory ammo and hand reloads with no malfunctions.

The SYRAC Ordnance adjustable gas block is the best thing I could have done with my Blackout build.  I was able to adjust the gas to allow functioning of every type round I fired (sub and super sonic).  I just need to find a 12" hex wrench to get to the adjustment screw  ;o)

Not that bad. It's certainly not a quick disconnect any longer.

I plan on doing all my shooting with the SDN attached. When I need to remove it, I'll use a #2 pencil to push the take-off button and slowly work it off using the slots in the handguard.

DId a little bit of upgrading this afternoon:

Before:

After, changed out MBUSs for Troys, Emod for UCIW, and MI T Series for NSR.

I'm still waiting on the SDN-6 and AAC Brake, but this thing's about done...

I know it may not be the most conventional but it seems to work well for me. When I close my eyes and shoulder the rifle my line of sight ends up here. I tried the tall mount and didn't like it. Also I have no iron sights so I didnt see a point of using a taller mount

Finally finished. Took me a few months and then another month to get it to a gunsmith to check it out. Yes I know its a polymer lower but it was my first build so it was more of an experiment than anything else. May upgrade to metal later on.

AAC MPW 16" with Nikon P-300 2-7x BDC Scope on a Burris PEPR Quick Disconnect Mount and Gen 2 Magpul MBUS flip ups.  Store bought, I know.  Give me all the flack you like but for the money this thing is an awesome performer.  Super accurate, very potent.  As funds/time permit, I'll get some components together and build up a custom rifle.

The Bummer is, in Iowa our suppressor law failed when the elected officials shot down it's 'cover bill'.  Can't really enjoy the quiet mode in my home state...

I've been trying to decide between FDE or some type of gray for my current blk build. Sig dark gray might be the one.

Is it a flat gray or does it have some metallic?

Thanks! The rail is a Noveske 7" NSR, the Trijicon is the TA33G-H model.
The eye relief is fairly decent. I haven't had a chance to get out to the range yet and get it
sighted in. There is a great review listed in archived thread here:

What upper is this?  Looks like the LAR side charger but wasn't sure.
Link Posted: 7/25/2014 11:21:00 PM EDT
[#50]
Well, put together my first SBR.  This is not the final configuration.  The upper came in the mail just as I was headed to the range.

Colt 6920 lower
MAS Defense Upper using an 8" CMMG barrel 1:7 twist and YHM Diamond 7" handguard
Eotech 517, but most likely will end up putting a 1x4 something on it.

I did not have much time at the range, only got 15 rounds through it.  I just threw the Eotech on and shot the 10 rounds, 5 208 gr AMAX subs and 5 147gr supers.  That was only at 25 yards as I planned to sight it in, but for just throwing a sight on and going, I thought it decent, I am not that great of a shot.  It would not cycle the subs.  Once it gets out of jail, I will be using a YHM Ti Phantom 762 QD on it.  I really like it.

I went with MAS Defense, found it by accident, and figured it was not too pricey and bought it with the CMMG barrel upgrade for $449.  I figured I would start cheaper and see how I liked 300 BLK.  The upper is great, fit is tight and operated great.  Accuracy seems really good, but I will have to test that out later.  I am very pleased with the upper.  The BCG was not included and is one I got from PK Firearms.  Shipping was fast, ordered 7/19 and arrive 7/25.
