I've seen a lot of guys posting "pistol" pics with what looks like a standard carbine receiver extension less the stock. Seems like that is really flirting with trouble since it wouldn't be too hard to put a stock on it. Granted, swapping a pistol extension for carbine extension isn't exactly tough to do either, but at least takes some tools. The reason I say that, is I had a run in with local DNR during hunting season. He really grilled me on my pistol extension and asked a lot of questions about conversion to carbine. I flat out told him that it couldn't be done without tools (so not easy to do in the field). I wasn't too worried since I do have an SBR lower that I use with this particular gun when I'm NOT hunting with it (stupid Indiana law).

There is an ATF letter that says it's good to go. Local LEOs can't make up laws. There is no provision in the law for requiring tools. |

Is the trijicon worth it? Been contemplating one,no real reviews to speak of to
give me a good reason for this over a 1-4. I've had a few acogs I know the quality of the glass and I've looked through one at my LGS. You should do a review on it and post your results. Thanks Originally Posted By dvp18:

I like that rail and barrel length. I would swap out the VFG for an angled but that is just me. I am planning on the same Magpul stock so this is the closest to what I want to do that I have seen so far. Thanks for posting it up! |

You sliding a suppressor under there? I'm gonna get a 9in barrel and was debating between the 12" or 15" rail. Gonna be suppressed and the can is 9.5" bring my barrel + can length out to 18.5". I'd be curious to see your setup with a can. |

That's a 10.5" barrel with the 12" rail. I should break my can out of NFA jail next week. I've test fit my buddy's can and it looks great. Very happy with it. Even with the can the OAL is shorter than my 16" upper on another rifle. That shorty LWRC stock is great.

I sure hope I'm not fumbling in the dark for my bullets. They sure as hell better be in my magazine, pointing the right direction, and already in the gun. |
