By the way, does anyone know where I can get a .937 diameter / .030 thick gas block shim? I can only find them in.750 ID and under. I want my gas block locked in on one direction of the barrel axis. I'll get it dimpled and will lock tight it to compensate for the recoil direction.

I wish MEGA would offer a special edition MKM tube made out of magnesium/aluminum or something lighter. Trying to shed some ounces on mine. I actually GAINED some weight going to the MKM vs TROY tube.

in my quest for finding a maten extended set for my build I came across a bnib rifle length set. I am stuck on wanting the extended rifle length set since I will be running a 24" barrel, but also considered buying this rifle length set and trading someone on here.
does anyone wanna trade there extended length handguard for a new rifle length one? |

Upper is a MaTen with FA (criterion) 16in LW rifle gassed barrel, RCA BCG, BCM gunfighter CH, URX3.1 rail. I am debating between a MAMS or a SF brake. Neither will probably ever see a suppressor, so I am having trouble justifying the expense of a MAMS when the SF supposedly is just as good if not better. What do yall think?
Barrel came in: RCA BCG, I am really pleased with the quality of the BCG. I took a chance on them and it is pretty damn nice. This is my first experience with 308 BCGs but compared to my 556's it is damn nice.: 
I also have another thread about the gas tube/block. I am trying to get it to where the tube doesn't show. Here is a link if yall have any advice it would appreciated. |

I backorderd a maten from jse a couple weeks ago. card showed a purchase for three days then fell off when jse doesn't collect. jse explains all this on there website. they will call you when backorder arrives and verify that you still want it before getting charged and shipped.

The only thing I could think to do would be to cut the spring off, lock some pliers on the pin and try and press it back out towards the front. What BCG are you using? I haven't fired it yet. Range is currently closed due to fire hazards, but we recently got some rain, so it should reopen soon. The gas port wasn't altered. I'm using a Harris tactical BCG (same as the Ranier Arms ones) with a JP Super Bolt. I think I'm going to try picking up a JP boltcarrier when they're back In stock at DSG. |

Awesome build Fozzy! I was thinking of getting another upper for my mega and always wanted to have the KAC rail, never seen it together until now, matches the Mega upper perfectly. As for the JP bolt, try contacting them directly, last I heard they have bcg's in stock.
