So being a proud older brother, wanting her to have something usable to take home, and possessing a fair pile of spare parts, I went ahead and put this together for Cola Warrior High Woman MaggieR:

I only didnt have an extra rear site. Ill order her one from AIM.

Thanks to Geissele for the upper and AIM for alot of the little odds and ends!

Here is my Colt 6951 I bought last month. I've added the following:
- Magpul MIAD grip, FDE
- Magpul ACS-L, FDE
- Magpul polymer trigger guard - FDE
- Tactical Link enhanced battery assist lever - FDE (I like these much better than Magpul's version)
- Troy/VTAC DeltaRail in FDE
- Magpul AFG - FDE
- Bushnell TRS-25, with medium riser and custom made Butler Creek flip-open scope covers
- A whole lot of the MetalForm 32rd mags while it's still legal for me to purchase them here in Kolorado
- I coated the entire rifle in Brownell's Aluma-Hyde II, 'Earth' color, as I found it matches more closely to Magpul's FDE than the 'Coyote' AH-2. I'm going to use this color as the base for painting the entire rifle to mimic ATACS camo. (I find ATACS to be the best pattern for where I live in Kolorado)

i was going to save this post for an awesome fraken gun im putting together but im second guessing a lot of things so it wont be done for maybe a month or so. instead for post 1000, an arfcom milestone- i had enough spare parts to make a complete rifle (almost). i had to buy a charging handle, upper receiver, and while i didnt need it, an ff tube (it was very inexpensive). so heres my cheap and heavy range blaster

ETA:  I am not condoning its use; the less NASCAR, the better.  I am intrigued however that this is the first part of a build

The only reason it is the first part of my first AR build is because I just finished modifying my current AR and swore I wouldn't add or change anything else on it.

I purchased it from the gun shop I work at on weekends.  I shall find out where we got em and let ya know!

Man, aren't those DPMS uppers heavy? Picked one up for a low-end build for the truck and was astonished just how bulky/ heavy it was. Good upper otherwise...but goodness it weighs a lot!

yes they are. youd think it'd just be a standard upper with no fa or deflector but they overbuilt it for some reason. anyway, the whole rifle is a pig so whatever
