Good luck with your training.  I hope all is well especially as hot as it is this time of year.  I know your issue rifle may suck in many ways compared to your lovely rifle back home but it will serve you as well as you serve it.

If you ever get a chance to go meet some of the guys at the tri-state gun club range or get a chance to shoot there I would highly recommend it.  It's a nice range I think.  Especially considering where we are down in the south.  Lots of experience and good guys there if you know where and when to look and can get past some of their personality quarks.  The plates range is fun for pistol shooting.  One of my favorites.  After I spend all day in the heat workin at Lowe field though all I wanna do is gome home and hide under the A/C.

Anyway, good luck in your training!

Picked up my Florida Receivers today:

Finally finished my 6.8.  Top one is a RRA lower with a Wilson Combat 6.8SPC barrel and BCG, Troy Alpha handguard, and Geissele SSA trigger.  Bottom one is a stock  RRA  Predator Pursuit.

My first post and attempt at uploading pictures of my rifle so be gentle.
-S&W M&P15 ORC, Ban-State Compliant
-SFX Fixed Stock (nice rubber buttpad and storage cavity) and Heavy Buffer Assembly from Stag Arms.
-Front & rear Troy Battlesights and 7" Drop in Quadrail.
-Magpul Polymer Enhanced Triggerguard, Railed Vertical Grip and P-Mags. (made custom mag cover pull-tabs for all my magazines with some synthetic line, a lighter, small drill and an eight knot.
-Aimpoint Pro Red-Dot.
-Standard MP15 ORC Compliant 16" Heavy Barrel with no attachment or threads.
-Gen 3 G19 is my CCW.  TRL-1 goes on when baby-go-nitenites.

My next project is a ground up Dissapator Build from PSA once I move to SC next week.  Goodbye Ban State nonsense, hello BBQ, beach and Southern Gals!  Also tempted by the 2012 S&W M&P15 Magpul Edition Rifles.  The Lower with the built in Enhanced Trigger Guard, Flared and Ridged Mag-well is pretty sweet plus all the other Magpul Furniture...damn.  Would love feedback and suggestions.  I am 6'4 with long arms so this thing feels like a little toy in my hands and is why I have the RVG so far forward.

Beautiful.

Yup. the 3-9x VX-R Patrol has made me want a 1-x4 Patrol. I like the glass quality of the Accupoint and the illumination system but I'm just not digging the reticle. I like taking pretty pictures but I also actually shoot them.
