Not quite correct enough for the clone threads, but here's a pair of ARs that were HEAVILY inspired by the MK12 and MK18.

Both look great. Is that an LT rail on the CQBR-inspired build?

Thanks! And yes, both of them have LT rails and LT optic mounts. Both also have have PRI gasbusters, and SOPMOD stocks.

The MK18ish has an LMT fixed rear BUIS, a DD 10.3 inch CHF barrel, an Aimpoint Comp M3 in an LT mount, a TD VFG, a Surefire light, and a Surefire SOCOM 556RC.

The MK12ish has a Nightforce 2.5-10x in an LT mount, a Harris bipod with an LT mount, a Geissele trigger, and an OPS inc 12th model suppressor.

Hey C4, did you have to do anything special to get the Surefire silencer to fit on the 10.3" barrel given that you still have the bayonet lug on there? Thinking about doing the same. Also, are you using a flash hider mount or muzzle brake mount underneath? TIA.

I'm using a muzzle brake (I like having it as a sacrificial baffle) and nope. I timed the brake with the shims that came with it from Surefire per their instructions, and everything fit like a glove.

So, here's most of my BRD on display.  All are home builds except the Colt.  Not shown are two others in various states of assembly.  Also, that's the wife's potting bench built by yours truly, standing in as a background

My only factory rifle, brand new haven't even had a chance to shoot it - Colt LE6920 with a Larue MBT
Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 in a Gear Sector lowpro offset mount hiding on the other side
Aimpoint PRO sitting in front of an LMT L8A

Mega Lower with RRA 2 stage trigger
PSA Premium/CHF midlength upper with MI rail
Primary Arms 1-6X scope in a Vortex mount.  Need funds for a Larue QD mount so those BUIS won't just be for looks anymore

My first lower build from ~8 years ago - Superior Arms lower with BCM trigger.  The start of my BRD
Recenty purchsed PSA PTAC midlength upper.  I figured a beater lower needed a beater upper to be a real deal "truck gun"
Primary Arms micro dot in front of a DD fixed rear sight

300BLK pistol
Spikes Jolly Roger lower with BCM tigger and 1911 grips with a Jolly Roger carved in
Gibbz side charge upper with a Ballistic Advantage 8.5in barrel and Hera Arms linear comp, Troy rail
HK sights and Primary Arms micro dot

ETA: now that suppressors are legal in IA I need to get on that next.  Thinking that pistol would be a hoot to shoot suppressed

My first AR. Been stuck on AKs for a while now but have been what the dark side is like. I think I already love my AR more than my AK and I've only taken the AR to the range once. It's my first but definitely not the last.

Specs:
Stag Arms lefty upper, 16" 1:9 barrel, Samson free float rail, Diamondhead flip up irons, S&W complete lower, Magpul CTR, random foreground I had laying around from my Muslim paintball days, and Pmags.

Edit: how do you get the image to show up in the thread instead of just the link?

Very nice minion!!!!!!  Nice glass set up.  Heck, I just want an MiniReddot for my carbine below.  Say nothing about the scope.

Uh oh, get a TA-33 and you qualify for CWAR!!!!  Oh and maybe a giessele trigger. What trigger do you have in there?

I like playing musical uppers.

Thanks JJ! It's a Geissele SSA. Totally worth it...after a few weeks of firing and dry-firing that one, going back to the milspec trigger is jarring, to say the least. Compliments the barrel and optic nicely.

Get one of the Holosun ACSS sights from Primary Arms. I hear those are great. That's what I'm getting when I want a stand-alone red dot again.

thanks man.  she's actually a usaf guu-5/p clone , slickside upper and partial fence lower ,  723 air force style

the other one is my 653 clone or Barnes rifle.  it will have the proper 14.5" barrel one of these days and that barrel will be cut down farther for a 177 type clone.

i like the rifle you posted above.  kiss rifles are just so light and nimble i find myself shooting them more and more compared to my "newer" rifles.

The next lower getting built will be a SI-Defense with a Geissele G2S I scored off the EE for $100, LMT SOPMOD, and most likely a Noveske endplate.  If it's not the Noveske, then it will probably be the KAC QD endplate.
