Why is that in an AR15 pic thread?

Yeah, why are folks posting handguns and other crap in this thread?

It's the ar15.com picture thread, not the AR15 picture thread.

Then why is it in the AR Discussion section and not GD?

Seems like a pretty serious violation. We should report him. Or, at the very least, post here discussing it instead of posting pictures.

Those are both really sweeeeeet.  But I have to ask, why two builds so similar?  And do you not suppress that second one?  My ears would be bleeding.

How do you like the front post in that position on that second one?  Seems like it would take up the rear ap, if used on small....

Two different purposes.

Top one is my nighttime/NV gun.  Bottom one is my bedside rifle.  It has less expensive accessories, so god forbid I have to use it in a defensive situation, I'm not getting a $1k+ LAM taken as evidence.

On the suppressor topic, I currently have a Saker pending for the top one and a Hybrid for the bottom one, hopefully they'll be approved early next month.  As for the front/rear BUIS on the bottom one, I actually removed the small aperture for the rear sight (it's a short range defensive gun, no need for a tiny rear aperture).  Even if I hadn't, it still wouldn't be an issue though.  The AP Micro is on a lower 1/3 mount, so I can get a clear sight picture through the optic (it's also on a QD mount so it can be quickly removed if needed).

Hey RJeff, do you get a lot of carbon on the lens of the X300 right there?

Looking at the exact same set up (light, position, md), but havent taken it out to the range.

Nope, suprisingly enough, I barely get any carbon on the X300.  The A2 doesn't seem to redirect gasses as much as other MDs.

It looks anodized to me. Especially since the logo and stuff appears to be laser engraved.

You should stay in GD and out of the tech forums where we ask simple questions and get simple answers.  I agree AZ it appears to be anodized by G
