Well, I just completed a 600 rd carbine course with it and it's still in tact.

They are battery straps for RC cars. Been running them for about a year. They haven't melted yet (3K rds).

It takes a LOT of shooting in a short period to melt most materials around the outside of a handguard, especially if they are Nomex, like TheArizonaCowboy suggested.

Me too.

Might need to build it a big brother upper in 14.5 flavor with the RIS II FSP.  I'd put an aimpoint on it as eotechs aren't good with my eyes.

Would be so close to a clone again.....but not quite there.

What is the purpose of them? I don't see light wires or anything they are holding.

Didn't you successfully attach centurion panels to a MK2 rail? If how did it workout and why do I need to buy?

I did! I believe the holes line up perfectly too. And then all I did was use the Supplied G-hardware (bolts and sliding inner-nut thing). I had to widen the holes in the centurion panels in order to get the Gbolt through it but that took 5 seconds with the twist of a steak-knife.

Also, As for those MI panels (and any other panel) I typically use magpul hardware (bolt and flat-nut)

I actually bought a bag of these a while back... working great!

and a bag of these...

and now I have magpul-type hardware for life.

I have attached many different style panels and foregrips (Lanco/Gripstop) to rails of all sorts.

A couple new builds involving rifle length KAC URX2 and 3s.

The URX2 build has a KAC legacy upper receiver which was given as a wedding gift from Ragincajun1919 when I purchased an E3 barrel, BCG, gas block, and gas tube from him.

A series of challenges delivered by the USPS delayed the build by 3.5 months but patience won out and this one is complete.

I can't give enough thanks to Ragincajun1919 for this rifle.

That RMR mount needs to go for a lighter one though. And that MI Mlok tube is ridiculously light, loving the 300 upper. MI has come a long way and has fully matured in the parts world.

80% lower
Anderson stripped upper
Midwest Industries 12" M-lok free float lightweight handguard
Green Mountain 18" SS mid-profile fluted rifle length gas 1:8 .223 wylde barrel
ATI Scorpion X2 grip and Tactlite stock
Radical Arms melonited BCG
Bud Ready linear comp
MAGPUL Gen 3 30rnd pmags

Weight is 6lbs 8oz without optic

Waiting on rings to mount Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40

The 80% lower was a beeyotch on a taper chuck drill press but I did it. Pretty ugly inside but it functions great. Still needs some trigger work to lighten it up. Runs M855 fine, but the ejection pattern was odd. Two distinct piles of brass at 2 and 4 o'clock, plus a few at 3. Love the grip and handguard BTW. Highly recommended. I had a lot of fun with this build.
