Depends on what your version of "overseas" is There's Germany, OCONUS Hawaii, KBR Kuwait, 92G type in Afghanistran, Iraq...

Yea, I've only been to the later. I highly doubt there's folks running around Baumholder or Ft. Shafter strapped... But I could be wrong on that.
I do remember Bagram letting us keep mags in the guns. I don't recall that being so anywhere in "civilized" Iraq (bigger FOB's/Green zone). Cold, dry fired, cocked and safety on, no mag. Those were the days... I'm sure policy has changed quite a bit since I was "over there".

Just picked this one up from my FFL.  Worked out a trade with a fellow Arfcomer.  It's going to get a red dot and some other upgrades and become my HD rifle.

I had tricked this one out in every possible way, but it ended up weighing double.
Back to the classics. My favorite look, really.

Just a simple "black gun" carbine build with a modular rail and versatile optics.  No colors or fancy paint schemes.

I'm with you there. M4s can be heavy. I've been thinking of selling my SOPMOD stock, Aimpoint PRO and M4 RAS and going all stock on mine.

Wow, I haven't had any interest in non mil clones whatsoever as of late, but these are awesome.

Info on the big box with weaponlight head coming out of it? Curious what that thing is/does (not the dbal, other one)

Do you happen to know how much that 805 weights in that configuration?

If I had to guess I'd say right about 7.5 -8 lbs?

without the optic it is just about 8, but I'm pretty sure the mods would prefer this stay a picture thread.

I'll eventually do one after I have finished a few more calibers. Your average machinist with some creativity should be able to figure it out till then.
