It is the new Vortex magnifier.   Im really happy with it especially for the price.  Glass is crystal clear and the mount works great.

Nothing fancy, just a magpul'd Bushmaster assembled specifically for the sammich maker. She's happy so I'm happy.

I don't think I've posted this configuration before. Sorry for the crappy pics. I'm recovering from foot surgery and can't get around very well.

And just traded the Leupy for an Aimpoint:

Go Stick!  I often wonder how many of these photos are your personal collection vs. stuff that's OEM supplied for photos, and then returned.

The black handguard with FDE receivers is something I've thought about in the past, but never tried.  I like it.

Not my pic, but I saw this on the "Support Our American Servicemembers USA" FB page.

I posted this here because I just thought it was interesting since I didn't realize our Services were issuing anodized lowers.

I would be willing to bet it is not an anodized lower, instead just a very well used one that has most the parkerizing gone mated to a newer upper receiver. Nonetheless, a cool pic of a Marine and his working dog.

Cool thread!

First up is my all around go to gun for general purposes. It's a Palmetto parts gun that has proven to be a great shooter. 4 moa @ 400 yards with open sights. It is a light weight, mid length upper. It loves the Black Hills 60 gr moly V-max load.

Next up is my old 3-gun rifle that just got retired. It is a Colt LE lower with a Bravo 16" mid and a Jard trigger. I took the 1-4 off and put a new Vortex 4-16 ffp mil/mil scope on it. This rifle has more than 20,000 rds through it and will still shoot moa with 77gr SMK's. A great AR that still has some life in it.

Lastly, just for fun here is an M1A I have been playing with lately.

I am really liking the dark earth color for the terrain I operate in out here in Utah.- Art

I think what he meant was that lower isn't anodized FDE.  It's just a standard lower that has had the black anodizing worn off over the years.

My AR has been through various stages of FDE

Finally I admitted to myself that I don't need a quad rail:

And I think I'm finally happy with the functionality, ergonomics, and function.

...or a UBR. Those things look the part but are quite portly. I like the "final" iteration.
