I purchased my first AR a couple weeks ago, and I'm already thinking about another one. I think I'd like to try and build one, and I absolutely love the flat dark earth color for a rifle. Do the majority of you just find parts that are in the flat dark earth color or do you find a professional place that can change the color of the parts?

I had my upper & lower receivers done in Cerakote (15-22 about 10 posts above this), and then picked out parts from several different companies that I knew were going to be slightly different. I prefer it that way - sort of a SCAR / intentionally mismatched look. Just like buying "white" paint - there are lots of choices that are all "like" dark earth. |
