I shined a flashlight down the free float barrel to see how the rail is mounted, its got 6 screws, 2 on each side and 2 on the bottom, it appears there is a huge barrel nut that is about 2-2 1/2" long that all 6 screws screw into, guessing something isn't flat if that big barrel nut is torqued down on there tho so not sure if taking any of this apart without knowing what I'm doing would do any good, not so sure I have the tools to take that huge nut off and make sure the surfaces are flat., still waiting to here back from PSA to see what can be done....
This writeup seems to be how mine installs, http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_4/315836_AR10_build___Noveske_SWS_rail_install.html UPDATE: Think I got it all figured out, the first gun I losened up all 6 screws, was able to adjust it some, moved it down most of the way and now the gap is very small now, tried what Shooter_Mc_Gavin said to do, loosen em up, and get it close then snug them up and a star pattern, I got it really close on both guns doing this, now once I get something to mount on the rails I can mount the rails together then tighten the bolts and it'll look perfect, just real hard to do it without a vice or something to mount to keep them from moving at all when your tightening, think I'm good for now, appreciate the help Shooter_Mc_Gavin |

MOE Dissy upper i just put together today from PSA Premium M4 upper next to my 300blk Aero/CMMG/Troy upper:

Used hacksaw, some drill bits, sandpaper, degreaser, brownells oxphoblue, 10-32 tap, and M5 capscrews. overall plenty pleased with it. http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt82/toldi_miklos/ARIS/E745F1C2-94E1-4DDA-8E4C-72739C8898CE-1455-000002B12DF74120_zps56d068f9.jpg got an adjustable low-pro under the handguard to fiddle with at the range. Unfortunately, I am waiting on a lower (stupid 60 day MD background check) to be able to shoot it. Thats on a colt lower that i'm selling, so cant shoot it. Once lower shows up, it'll be getting built with a PSA MOE lower build kit. |

Also, the ACS was just a tad bulky for my taste. that is a bad ass look.. Perhaps i should go with the UBR then. I dotn like too much bulk. Also what color is that? it looks like a tan but the lighting could be a white as well... I want to do a "stormtrooper"build eventually for winter warfare. |

What it the block holding the upper and lower in the last picture? That's an interesting concept. |

New Frontier Armory Complete Lower PSA Madness Upper 5.56 16" Carbine 1/7 MPI Rock River Arms Chrome BCG Magpul Goodies Primary Arms 1-4x24 Scope the MBUS was on there prior to the scope, so I just left it. I did not want to like this NFA lower. I planned on getting rid of it as soon as I could get a hold of an aluminum lower for a decent price. Using it has totally changed my mind. The trigger is far too nice for polymer and it is stupid light. I mean, really light. This barrel LOVES 69gr HPBT match bullets on top of Varget powder. Can make the holes touch at 50 yards. |
