The PSA upper and Spikes lower fit and finish are excellent. There is no wobble between upper and lower. The finish matches perfectly. The controls are crisp and firm without being too tight. This is my first build and I had some concern about this stuff. Anyways I am very happy with it. My build was almost like your to every detail. Except i changed my mind and got all black. I'm also looking at that PA M3 scope as well. how well does it work in bright sun light? I'm also looking at the Vortex Strike Fire and the Bushnell Tactical elite 1x32. All of them are around $150 wonder which one I should go with. |

I have no experience with the Vortex or Bushnell so I cant speak to those. The PA M3 was easily visible in bright daylight. On brightness level 5 the dot was crisp and easy to pick up. On brightness 6 the dot began to bloom a bit but not bad really. It was very bright and easy to pick up even while holding over a red target. I didn't even check it out the highest setting. Level 4 may be usable, 3 would not be. Those would be perfect on a cloudy day or dusk/dawn. The mount is solid. No wobble. Better than I expected for the additional $30. Reminds me of the Bushnell Xtreme Tactical rings I have on another gun. I only have 100 rounds through the gun so far. The bulk order didn't make it before the holiday weekend No problems at all with either the gun or the optic. |

Started researching (mostly here on ARFCOM) a couple months ago, when I decided to treat myself to an AR-15 of my own. I decided to go with an all PSA build and I got her running today.
PSA complete 16" MOE upper, PSA stripped lower, PSA/MOE LPK. The sling, Magpul rails and AFG, plus the Microdot and ADT mount are from Primary arms. Streamlight TLR-1 courtesy of my Glock. Sorry Glock, but I think you lost your light! Put about 20 rounds through it getting the BUIS and red-dot zeroed, then burned a couple more mags just playing. Could not be happier! I sat on my butt in the yard and took a rest off my knee, with dime to quarter sized, 3-shot groups at 25 to 50 yards being the norm. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00071-20110707-1844.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00072-20110707-1845.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00074-20110707-1846.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00075-20110707-1846.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00076-20110707-1848.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00077-20110707-1848.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00080-20110707-1849.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00081-20110707-1849.jpg <obligatory crappy cell phone pics excuse goes here> Cell phone 'zoom' doesn't work too good, but you get the idea. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00085-20110707-1851.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q171/Joshy_Tree/IMG00086-20110707-1852.jpg I started ordering parts on June 15. I was unlucky enough to get an upper with a canted FSB, and it was back on the brown truck the day after I got it. PSA got my upper back on Tuesday, July 5, and I got it back today, July 7!!! FSB fixed and shipped from SC to MO in 3 business days... Can you say, "That was FAST?!?!" Thank you Palmetto State Armory, and thanks as well to Primary Arms. Good stuff, and good customer service! ETA: I've got a 'prior-military' 20" Colt for a duty rifle, and this is much nicer! Very light and handles nicely with the Magpul furniture and govt-profile barrel. |

Wow seems most if not all pictured went with the pictogram lower. I must be in the minority choosing safe/fire on my psa lowers. Nice builds BTW.

It took a little longer than I had expected but I finally got my 24" PSA upper in and was able to assemble my TPP(tactical paper puncher). When I saw this upper combo from PSA, I thought it would make for a nice range/target rifle. I have access to a 1000yd range within driving distance and I hope to test the limits of this setup.
As it sits Im at about $1400 including scope. So, I would call it an economical build as far as AR's go. PSA 24" Stainless complete Upper DPMS lower ROCK RIVER NM 2 Stage LPK Rock River A2 stock kit CAA UPG 16 grip with palm shelf BCM gunfighter charging handle Magpul trigger guard Burris PEPR scope Mount Millett TRS-1 4-16x50 .1mil Made a quick trip to a private range and got the scope dialed in a bit at 50 yards less than an hour and I had to get back to work. I used the 55 gr 5.56mm Winchester Q3131A1 from walmart. I am happy so far with the build but need to spend a little more time with it before I classify it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/8d39cd68.jpg 3rds http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/a49ca343.jpg 3rds http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/0f723107.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_1018.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_1012.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_1010.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_1008.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_0997.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_0976.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_0968.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v392/pg6922/7-18-11%2024in%20%20ar15/DSC_1030.jpg |

Here is the build for my dad. It is all PSA with MOE parts kit, MOE handguard and UTG carry handle. I also made him a custom ejection port cover. PSA is awesome I fell in love with this gun when I was test firing it.
