OK, here's some pics of the new NDS-44 for the Ruger 1261 "Tactical" model.

They just came off the mill today. I'm going to blast them and send them out for anodizing tomorrow with a batch of AR's.

As you can see, it will sit back a little from the muzzle like the sight on the Mini-14 GB. How much depends on the tolerances on the barrels O.D.

Fantastic. This will be great on my stainless 1296 model.
