haha really funny guys.

Not a fair trade?
WR78,
unfortunately, written words typed on the web do not allow inflection, tones, looks, etc to be interpreted correctly. So you don't know what I and someone else are thinking b/c you interpreted something (probably wrong) and now I don't know to what degree (if any) you are joshing around or if you are really butt hurt to some degree.
But since you asked my opinion about a dillos' worth (thank you

), I will say that nothing about your request for a trade was looked 'down' upon. It seems like a pretty fair trade. I n fact , since Ft Hood dillos are STILL READILY available at $50, that would make the Scott Brown dillo more difficult to acquire. Even though they both cost a monetary contribution of $50 to purchase, they are probably not EXACTLY equal in trading value.
From an overall picture, most folks find the Ft Hood more valuable, because it is a strange shape relative to the other dillos. It is also a magnet and symbolizes an occurrence that everyone remembers/knows about. However, even though the Brown dillo is a limited run, it probably has MORE quantity wise than most any other black special edition dillo. Even though it cost $50 it is not as rare as some black special editions. But, to someone who wants a piece of history, for someone that the MA election means something special too, it is quite valuable. Additionally, the Brown dillo came as part of special package meted out by Mark LaRue himself and was a political statement of large magnitude.
All that means this- it is as valuable as someone wants to pay/trade for it. And a Ft Hood Dillo is within the realm of reasonable trading-certainly.
However, none of this had ANYTHING to specifically to do with YOU and your offer - your offer just stuck a nerve that struck a funny bone. My comment about how we monetarily 'rate' dillos is just damn amusing to me and some other diehards.
Here is just an example of one such rating, that may or may not be smack on.
$10 - regular black dillo
$15 - Holiday 2009
$20- SHOT 2010 or 2009, Holiday 2008, some special edition blacks
$25- some special editions
$50- Ft Hood/ Brown?
$60 - Holiday 2007
$80 -SHOT 2008, red SITKA
$100- Blue Sitka

SHH!
everybody start acting like they are worth a lot, and these people (not collectors) will sit on them or wait to get outlandish fees. That's why everybody needs to quit BEGGING and offering their first born for them- we are making them harder to find than they really are-seriously. There are a bunch out there- people are just hanging on b/c they know some serious derelicts (collectors) are drooling for them.
The price chart is just a relative example-mileages are definitely gonna vary. You'd poop if you heard some the offers this KEEPER of the DILLO has heard.

Definitely not butt hurt. I just happened upon an extra Scott Brown, and thought maybe this would be a good way for someone to get in on it that was too late, but I still felt they needed to contribute the $50 to something. (i.e. purchase the ft. hood, and trade for the Scott Brown.) win-win.
ETA: I feel like I have been more than fair in the past on my trades. Offering SHOT dillos for ordinary swag like dust and stickers as an example. I just don't want anyone to think I am one of the LaRue leaches. Quite the contrary though, if someone wants a special "contribution" dillo, they should pay the entrance fee, ala my offer for example.
I have a Holiday 2009 Dillo I would swap for a black Larue hat.
pm me if interested.
Orange OBR Owners????
You holdin' out on us, Al? Pics or its BS!
