Put together my first stripped lower today using a Stag lower parts kit.

Like many first-time builders, I underestimated the force behind the detent spring on the pivot pin. My finger slipped while pushing in the pivot pin, the spring did what it was designed to do, the detent pin glanced off the frame of my glasses, whizzed past my ear, and was lost in the carpet; most likely forever.

That was when I noticed there was, either by accident or design, an extra detent pin in my kit. So what could have been a frustrating incident was only a inconvenient learning experience. I got the lower put together and plan on taking it out to the range for a test drive next week.
