( note the 45ACP brass for size comparison )

home-brew hardcast and a stout load of H110 / win296 will tear shit up good

I will also add I use H110, my gun is a super redhawk so it allows for hotter loads, and allows to to seat the bullet out longer.

What about these monsters?

Hard Cast, Flat Nose. Buffalo bore, corbon are good for buying premade ammo. I handload my own 300 gr for heavy 44s, for my airweight S&W 329 pd I handload a Flat Nose, Kiethed, gas check 265 gr. It is loaded to just below pressure signs.

Thru a 7.5" SRH you can easily get past 1400 fps with a 320 cast which is more than adequate, 22 grains of W296 with a good 320 grain cast will get you close, go from there with a chrono useing your fastest hole.

Double Tap 320 gr hardcast out of a 3" 629

Some good reading on the subject from Randy Garrett of Garrett Cartridges.

And his 44 Magnum ammo comments

320 gr hand loads (casted myself) over some H110.

Will take down most issues that I run into.

Agreed. Buffalo Bore goes in my gun.

While I don't mess with puny .44 mags (hey they are really not quite .43's), just kidding don't over react. I do use Buffalo Bore .45 Colt +p in my Blackhawk. No bear yet, but they do an amazing amount of damage to a coyote with a Texas heart shot.

Wanna send me about 50 of those boolits? I don't cast, but I do reload. Hard to find stuff like this local.
