Hi everyone. Figured this would be the appropriate place to post my questions but move it as necessary.

I've been strongly considering joining the military lately (Not sure which branch yet, leaning towards Army or Navy) and I had the bright idea to combine my love of photography with that. Thinking about being a military photographer gets me really excited and motivated like no other job I've considered taking. Specifically COMCAM. Studio work has never interested me much.  I have been researching this daily, for hours at a time trying to get first hand experience from people who have been there and done that. Is there a specific branch that you'd prefer or recommend for this line of work? I hear they are all good, and even end up at Ft. George G Meade in Maryland. Maybe there's something you'd do differently if you could go back and do it all again? Job availability in each branch? Any stories about dealing with these folks in training, on deployment, or around the base?

I've worked with COMCAM through all my deployments and have been pretty pleased with them.
If interested in Army COMCAM you can take a look at http://www.55comcam.army.mil/.   I think they may have a Youtube channel as well but you can always look up 55th Signal for various links.
They are a Signal Command unit, again this is Army... not sure what AF does but have limited work experience with them as they filmed many of our jumps and participated in a lot of the Forced Entry Exercises.
