I'm vacationing in Interational falls mn this weekend and found that Frank Soboleski one of the remaining 101st airborne easy company ww2 vets is a resident here.

I'd give my left arm to meet him and thank him for his service.

Is there a proper way of seeking someone like this?

I don't want to appear disrespectful or intrusive but it's a rare opportunity for to meet one of a group of men that I believe is down to 13.

Any advice on how to go about it would be greatly appreciated.

Contact the local VFW or American Legion post, he may be a member. Also talk to the town's historical society or equivalent. A reference librarian or someone who has been at the library for a long time may know him as well...older library workers are a vast wealth of knowledge about the local area.

Good luck.

Seems kind of creepy to me.

There's some I wouldn't mind looking up from my service years but I wouldn't be exactly buying them a beer.
