The Veteran's Retraining Act Program payments were originally slated to end on March 31st of this year.

I received an email from the veteran's counselor at school who passed along some good news: Any person who is presently receiving VRAP payments will receive them for a full year as long as they continue to meet the program's requirements (12credit hours/semester, 2.0 grade average in all classes).

I was enrolled in VRAP this past August and as I expect to graduate in May I won't get the full year but I will be able to collect payment for the month of May.

This program has been a lifesaver for me. I don't know how I'd get by without it.

That is great!  I used my VEAP benefits when I left active duty the first time in 1988 to begin college.
