Shung, with this announcement... if RBR loses it's appeal today, I'm pretty sure you no longer have ownership of your soul.

With the way Luca di Montezemolo stormed out of the Ferrari garage before the race was even over, Stefano Domenicali probably quit before he had to face the boss at the team meeting!
Also, was just watching Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson said in his description of The Stig; "he bought new condoms made by Pirelli and now has 17 children!" |

While it's a step in the right direction, it won't make them go any faster... and the guy coming in has no experience to speak of. I just feel sorry for them this year, especially the drivers. I wonder if the red phone at Ross Brawn's house is ringing. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

RBR lost their appeal Who didn't see that coming. Looks like they based their appeal on hand wringing and emotion instead of the science that it should have been based on. Really, a rule set down in the regulations isn't regulatory? The couple of articles I've had time to read this morning make it sound like RBR tried to say the fuel flow rule isn't really a rule and make no mention of them attacking the sensors themselves as being flawed. I guess if you know your real argument doesn't have a leg to stand you might as well try Franklin and Bash theatrics. I wonder how many sensors RBR has bought since Australia looking for a low reading sensor, like the rest of the teams have done, according to rumor. Not really a cheat when two "identical" certified sensors give different readings for the same flow rate. I know which one I'd be putting on the engine! |

RBR thinks they're bigger than the sport. I'm glad they got denied.

View Quote EVERY team thinks they're bigger than the sport at some point and makes all kinds of attempts to change rules to favor themselves, circumvent rules, outright CHEAT, etc. It's always been that way and it always will. Happens every single year with nearly every team. This is not news. |

Only ONE team is really bigger than this sport though...
Ok ok.... I'm leaving . Not a year to brag... |

With Bob Bell leaving Mercedes, I could see Ferrari bringing him and Flavio on board in a kind of recreation of the Alonso Era Renault Sport F1 Team.
Too bad Pat Symmonds (who I thought Ferrari should have picked up two years ago) is at Williams, because that would make the brain trust complete. |

I like Flavio. He is an old bastard, but he knows how to win.

I'd love to see Ross back at Ferrari, and Michael too as a consultant when/if he recovers, considering they made the rest of the field look like a bunch of rolling roadblocks for most of the early 00's, but it's just not gonna happen. Figures though, it takes and Englishman and a German to make an Italian team great. |

The story I've read is that Luca's 'We're not looking for mercenaries' comment was a thinly veiled shit-fit over Ross Brawn's salary demands when Ferrari approached him a few days ago. |

So is anyone getting a big ass grid spot penalty this week? Im trying to figure out "most spots gained"

Dont worry crew...you cant sleep tonight, afterall you have to rebuild the car.....but Pastor said he is sorry

Looks like Romain is destroying his teammate so far after fp1 and 2. I'd like to see him get a podium sometime, he seems to be worthy of "most improved driver" over the past few years.

Wait.....what?
A Mercedes representative (while not representing the prosecution (FIA) or the defendant (Red Bull)) was allowed to cross examine Red Bull and submit options for additional penalties. Mercedes recommended a 3 race ban. |

Maldonado's engine is kaput so he won't be qualifying Does that mean his 5 grid penalty is carried on to next race? |

Shitty weather qual. Ricciardo did damn well! Hamilton was a class above everyone though Ham Ric Vet Ros Alo Bot Hul Ver Mas Gro |

One thing to keep in mind when reading about the politics behind these bans and penalties is that everyone in F1 has memories like rogue elephants.
I read somewhere that it was McLaren that challenged Renault's mass damper in 2006, which in turn led Renault to push for McLaren to get hammered in the Ferrari Spying case. Which in turn led to McLaren trying to get Renault/Flavio banned over the 2008 Crashgate scandal. So I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Mercedes is still pissed over something Red Bull did, like trying to get them penalized for that 'now it's illegal, now it's not' Pirelli test Mercedes did last year. |
