You've been showing your pantie bunch for days. I HATE "racing" that involves heavy cars turning left for hours. Has NOTHING to do with snobbery, and everything to do with what I find exciting in racing. I'll go back to watching the racing that I enjoy now and quit responding to this trolling/faggotry... |

Wonder how that damage to Rosberg's brake structure will affect his drive, if at all.

Alonso now losing big on button.
Very disappointed by the new Ferrari... We all knew that Mercedes engined car would dominate... But hey, a red bull is second right now... Domenicali... Eternal looser |

Holy Vergne
Edit: As terrible as the cars sound. I love the cars having enough power to get sideways if too much throttle is used. Makes the drivers work,. |

So apparently Mercedes, McLarens, redbulls and Williams are faster than Ferraris...
Brilliant Stefano |

yep. in 2 weeks.. we get to see if it was all a fluke. Malaysia will be exponentially worse on the engines. was Mercs dominance a fluke? what about Riccardos engine reliability? was Magnussons podium a fluke? what about the aardvark Ferraris crapiness? Quite a showing for Red Bull to podium. Ferrari crapiness will be confirmed hey, but Stefano is happy because they are reliable....... Fuck that. |

What a cool podium with Riccardo getting up there for the first time and Magnussen getting there in his first race.
Jan has been a Corvette driving beast for years who I always cheer for, so cool to see his son in F1. 2 weeks from now it'll be like a big reset button. The teams for sure learned a lot. You know Seb and Hamilton will be absolutely foaming at the mouth. I have to say that Kimi looked really uncomfortable. His driving looked...reluctant. Williams will be a force this season, it's good to see them with some pace again. |

Those 3 on the podium are all genuinely happy to be there. Im happy for them all.
Good on them!

Bring back the studio interviews. These podium interviews are painful to watch.

I don't remember him lock up and have that many mistakes at any other time in his career. I also don't think the Ferrari is any good. He was behind FA, and then lost 2 spots during the safety car, and ended up finishing two positions back. I have always pulled for Jan, I may become a Kevin fan. I just hope he doesn't go the prima donna route of LH. |

So what gives ?
Ricciardo car good performance was due to an overcomsuption of fuel not allowed by current rules ? |

My real question was though, were ricciardo surprising performances for a red bull at this stage, due to this ? |

Ferrari is too loyal. They stuck by Massa for too long and they're doing the same with Stefano.
I hope they're talking to Ross Brawn. |

Nice to see Nico win.
Something must be different about LewHam's driving style, maybe he uses the gas too aggressively. Most of the Mercedes failures have come on his car. |

After 5 hours of deliberation.....Red Bull #3 has been disqualified.
Red Bull's statement: Following the decision of the FIA that Infiniti Red Bull Racing is in breach of Article 3.2 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations and Article 5.1.4 of the FIA Formula One Technical Regulations with Car 3, the Team has notified the FIA of its intention to appeal with immediate effect.
Inconsistencies with the FIA fuel flow meter have been prevalent all weekend up and down the pit lane. The Team and Renault are confident the fuel supplied to the engine is in full compliance with the regulations. View Quote |

I wouldn't be surprised if RBR are still trying to get some trick aero effect out of the off throttle exhaust and that's why they're playing with fuel flow rates at lower RPM settings.

Red Bull's perspective on the issue:
“We had an issue with a sensor that changed its reading through Friday practice, that sensor was then replaced for another sensor on Saturday that then failed during qualifying. We were then asked to put the sensor from Friday back in the car and apply an offset. That offset we didn’t feel was correct, and as we got into the race we could see there was a significant discrepancy between what the sensor was reading and what the fuel flow, which was the actual injection of fuel into the engine, was stated as. That’s where there was a difference of opinion.] View Quote “They informed us and we informed them that we had serious concerns over their sensor. We believed in our reading, otherwise you are in a situation where you are reducing significant amounts of power with the engine, when we believed we fully comply with the regulations. If we end up with that situation, depending on the calibration of your sensor, the plus and minus, it will dictate quite simply who is competitive and who isn’t.” View Quote http://adamcooperf1.com/2014/03/16/christian-horner-its-impossible-to-rely-100-on-that-sensor/ |

I must say I am now watching a racing series that can compete with Spec Miata for the most annoying sounds on the planet!!
Well done to the podium finishers. I hope this crap consumption sensor gets fixed soon!! |

"As part of Formula One's new fuel regulations fuel flow to the engine is limited to a maximum rate of 100kg per hour. Each car is fitted with an FIA fuel flow sensor to monitor the rate and Ricciardo's Red Bull was found to have "exceeded consistently the maximum allowed fuel flow"." |

Just finished the race on DVR, my comments:
1. Before I read of Ricciardo's disqualification, I was going to suggest that RBR's true performance should not be based on Seb's problems, but on Ricciardo's podium finish. I'm not so sure now. They might have diddled with the kg/h flow rate, or the sensors might just have been faulty. Hard to judge at this point. Either way, I expect Vettel will have a a new chassis by Bahrain if his problems persist in Malaysia. Newey is no idiot; RBR will get the car running properly. When is the question. 2. McLaren and Williams staged some really nice comebacks after a disastrous 2013. 4. Ferrari needs a game changer. Whether a driver lineup or replacing Domenicali. They need to do something. After watching Horse Power, it's obvious they have the passion, but are they applying their passion to the correct engineering pursuits. If the F14T can't better their 4th (5th before the shenanigans) by Malaysia, they are going to be in trouble. Like someone else said earlier, Ross Brawn is available. 5. I'll be keeping an eye on Magnussen, Bottas, and Hulkenberg this year. All three could shake things up. 6. The cars sound like crap. 7. There was a segment during the NBCsn broadcast where they stated that F1 was repositioning itself as an 'efficiency' racing series rather than being based on pure speed. CART tried fuel efficiency racing in the 90's. It was awful then, it'll be awful now. Don't talk to me about strategy either... m |

Really sucks for Ricciardo. Looking at the way things went for Vettel, I wonder if RBR wasn't playing fast and loose with the rules by handing Vettel FIA compliant but reduced power/fuel flow engine maps and then letting their #2 guy go with the higher power settings, planning to fight the FIA post race if it came to what we have now. Ric was way faster than Vettel all weekend, and I dont think that was just a coincidnce or a matter of skill. Be interesting to see how their appeal goes, but they basically ignored the umpire, and I can't see the FIA just letting teams decide on their own that their internal fuel flow sensors are better than the FIA homulgated sensor -- that defeats the whole purpose of everyone using the same sensor.
Personally, I don't understand why, if you give teams a fuel limit, that they can't decide on their own how best to use that fuel, but those are the rules. |
