Yessir. He's from an hour down the road. We have a memorial for him at the bottom of lake Ouachita. His wife is from the same Little Rock suburb that I grew up in, but I'm younger, so I never knew her or Adam. Most of Arfcom probably isn't familiar with him, but for those that don't know, he went from a multi year crack addiction to passing Devgru selection, then devgru sniper school, After a SIM round destroyed his dominant eye. Wow. I would have assumed that the drug use would have precluded his selection for something like that. I'm glad he was able to get his life turned around. |

Really stuck his neck out for Adam Brown. It really is an amazing story.

Correction, the friend that went with him was another friend, not the son of Captain Bushman. And he wasn't high when he enlisted, he just thought he was still possibly dirty.

Close. 1 is Otter Creek, the area mentioned in the book that Kelly is from. 2 is just south of the school that my cousin and brother knew her from. 3 is where I lived during that time. 4 is what used to be known as the Geyer Springs community, where Gunny Hathcock grew up. I would like to get a more exact location. 5 is where I lived before I started school, I learned to hunt in those woods. I still live in the area, just out of frame. Adam was from, and rests today in a community called Lake Hamilton. A suburb of the Hot Springs community. You can go drive across the bridge talked about so much in the book.
