We've been feeling this way . . . I picked a tick out of my leg yesterday, out of my daughter's head last night and tonight I found one on the floor.

Spray DEET around your doorframes and entrances to the house.  Use it on your legs, inside and outside the pants around the openings.

In Texas this is a restricted use product. You can check if it is in your state. If so you need to call a pest company to apply it.
There is a granulated product called Top Choice. The active ingredient in it is fipronil. That is the same chemical used to dip dogs for ticks and fleas. When applied to the yard it protects against fleas and ticks- and fire ants and almost every other insect. After it is watered in it protects the yard for a year.
It is worth applying. You also need to spray inside your house. The product I use is called Temprid SC. It controls against most insects.

Keep your grass mowed low and remove any wood, dead leaves, etc. by your house.
Deep Woods Off or another repellent with the high concentration of Deet applied to your legs, socks and pant legs when combined with the above applications should eliminate your tick problem.

Based on the field, wouldn't "LEMONS race" be more appropriate?

Some old Clemson FSAE friends and I almost got into ChumpCar (same thing, a little more organized), but time is short when we can all get together, and it's hard to find $500 cars nowadays, everyone's keeping the junkers on the road with the weak economy, and cash for clunkers killed the rest...
