No, wait - "reviewed." 5) Millwork supplier prepares shop drawings based on the Architect's plan view, but holds off on the hole spacing till he gets the exact model from the GC. Or just used a "standard" template. 6) Granite supplier fabricates off of Millwork supplier's shop drawings, missing the callout on the Architects drawings because, hey - he's the granite guy, he doesn't need a full set of plans, how hard can it be. 7) GC misses the coordination in the shop drawing process, blames Millwork and/or plumbing guy, they both blame the other guy and refuse to fix it until a Change Order is cut to them. 8) Certificate of Occupancy is a schedule milestone, and may have financial consequences for missing it, so GC and Owner say "Fuck it - put it in and we'll fix it on punchlist." 9) EVERYONE forgets about it and closes out the project. |
