Very cool.

Thanks!
Here's a short video I made with the tailgunners spinning.
I was skeptical at first, But Bike pulls and runs stronger than with the SE pipes.
And sounds a lot meaner too!

Hey nice bike what kind of bags are those got a link?

KNIGHTENFORCER  [Member]
Thanks for the comments guys!
btw, about the bags,
They're handmade by a guy on ebay. Just search for seller 1200xln.
A bit pricey $300-400 but well worth the money. (It's the only ones I've seen that are low profile
and fits in with lines of the bike) Between the 2 saddlebags I was able to fit a full harley rolled tool bag plus other stuff,
a small emergency first aid kit, cargo net, zip ties, gloves, goggles, fuses, bike lock, flashlight etc...
basically the essentials u want to have when riding.

Here are some updated pics after installing new mirrors and frame sliders.

Last weekend I installed a set of ninja650shop.com no-cut frame sliders. I encountered some of the same issues mentioned previously (I posted this on riderforums.com); powder coating in the threads, clearance problems with the crossbar, attachment points not quite working right, and a need to cut some of the plastic.

Here is the bike with the fairings stripped down.

A close up of the two sides:

The left side mount was supposed to line up with the middle hole on this bracket. The holes did line up; however, I was unsuccessful in attaching the nut and bolt. Looking at the bracket I figured that any amount of force would rip the bolt through the metal, so I didn't bother attaching this bolt.

I wouldn't call this a true no-cut slider set, on the left mount there is one spot that requires the removal of some plastic on one of the smaller pieces.

The plastic that would need to be cut is the same that is directly behind the clutch cover, but only for the left side.

Here area couple more pictures of the bike put back together.

I purchased these in the event the bike falls over to keep some of plastic from getting damaged. I am not going to bother cutting the one piece that needs it to be reinstalled, it will go into the bin with the tail section and stock mirrors.

Other than a the above snags installation was pretty easy.

I captured an enemy Tank as one old guy told me.
1992 Kawasaki KZ1000p
Only upgrades are an LED Tombstone taillight, Padded Spike grips, A custom Lexan low windscreen and Spiked windscreen bolts, and I added better latches to the saddlebags. The pursuit lights still work too.
I also stripped off the siren (which didnt work) and the radio box.

Very agile for it's size, I'm not quite as good as those Cops that do the low speed competitions, but I'm practicing.

We need more MXer's in here.

My first.
Cost me 1675$ with 16k on the clock.

I'll ride this for the season, and probably pick up a klr650 or a Vstrom 650 in the late fall when they get cheap.
I'd love a dual sport, but people around here are AWFULLY fucking proud of used KLRs.
Cruiser was my second choice, but since I'm stuck carting the gf around the seat and sissy bar on this one is pretty nice.

Just passed my MSF a few days ago and already have put 200 miles on it.

Loving it so far, plenty of power for what it is.

Identical to my first bike. Even the same colors. I didn't know it at the time, but it was probably the best bike I could have purchased to learn to ride on. Mine cost me 1800, with around 16k miles, too. That was 9 years ago, though.

Updated pic of my bike from the other day:

Good looking DRZs! I've got a ton of time and money into the DRZ/LTZ motors With the right mods they will flat out rip and still be factory reliable.

Mudfoot - trash the piece of crap factory cam chain tensioner and get yourself one from the TT store. They are super easy to adjust and the chain will last a LOT longer.
