Newest - XT250

No Kool-Aid (well XT Kool-Aid), I'm gonna die, yada-yada. Nice bike - what little I rode, much improved over the XT225 I had borrowed. Official AR-15 dual-sport. Just need a SV and V-Strom - I'll be set.

ckrockets.... I give you credit. That is the first time ever that I have seen a rider on a HB that was not lowered, chromed or concerned about 0-60 speed! good job!

JenningsGP if anyone was wondering. That was the last track day for the Hayabusa back in March(dedicated touring/commuter bike now), 3 years worth of track riding with no wrecks. Got a 05 GSXR 750 as a dedicated track bike wrecked on my third track day on it :) Totally expected so not really pissed, bike put back together will be doing my third track day since the wreck this coming weekend at VIR. Will post pics of my track bike when i get on my other computer.

I rode my fathers 08 Busa for the first time after spending my whole season on my GSXR1000, and i thought the same thing, but once you get it moving it is amazingly nimble, within 15 minutes I had it in the twisties loving every turn. People tend to say the same thing about 1000cc bikes, but if you ask me it relies on a stereotype from back when 1000cc bikes weighed a ton, modern liter bikes are extremely great handlers and I have yet to have a ride where i could not keep up in the twisties with the 600s. But then again once you stretch a busa or a liter you kind of limit what it will ever do... Never got the stretched 1000 unless it had a turbo.

I'm going to go with....4 guys and a pickup truck?

I left home on a Thursday evening to go white water rafting in WV, on my way back Friday I get a call from my roommate who says "Uh where'd you park your bike?"

Edit: Currently shopping for a bicycle to get to class.

Damn, sorry man. Did you have comp insurance?

Keep an eye on ebay for parts from the bike you might be able to identify.

No...comp in my demographic (20 year old white male) on that bike was unjustifiably expensive (I'm not even "kicking myself" or anything like that - it was that much).

BTW, sometimes statistics suck. I don't even want to know how LONG I worked for that bike, I wasn't some rich kid whose dad gave them a fancy toy. It's my third bike and every one was 100% purchased with money I WORKED for, and the proceeds from the sale of each were rolled into the next. All in all, it was about three summers plus a few months where I probably saved 80%+ of my income. Makes me fucking sick.

Sorry for going all emo on this thread....someone post up some Italian porn, quick!

ETA: Have been searching for "gsxr" on craigslist nationally, and eBay within 250 miles on a daily basis.

Sorry to hear it..

Remember I told you that I had an R1 stolen? Well, someone stole my little NSR a month ago too.
TheOtherDave  [Team Member]
Sage, sorry to say it, but statistically speaking, your bike is in a million pieces right now in someone's garage, waiting to be sold off. Maybe you'll get lucky and someone will get caught-they arrested someone on my R1 a year and a half later, so there's hope.

Yeah, I remember hearing about the R1, from an apartment complex, right?

Sorry to hear about the NSR, that's almost irreplaceable. Did they break into the mini-storage?

As luck and fate would have it, another one popped up on Ebay while I was waiting for State Farm to cash me out. This one's 11 years newer, and has a pipe, big bore kit, and maybe a big carb. Should be about 25hp at the wheel from the stock bike's 12

Haulbikes.com called me to confirm delivery today, probably won't have it for a few more weeks. Winter's a comin'..

I track there - Full course normally. Hell in the Spring I watched $400k worth of Porsche eat it (either at the Bend or Lefthook) and my co-driver had a 120+ off track exit (mechanical). I've never hit it on a bike - and doubt I will. Roller Coaster must be awesome on a bike.

Whats the Grand Course?
