That right there is the cat's meow! Beautiful bike! Are those the stock mirrors? They look long enough to actually see something of worth in.

yes they are the stockers and they actually work.....

Nice ride. There was a nightrod given away here in Atlanta recently and I wanted to win it. I would still ride the SV for the fun stuff, but I like the looks of that bike and would certainly take on for free.....If you get bored or something...

Last Tuesday night at a small local private track. Still fun as hell though. The bike is a 2007 GSX-R750.

Lookin good.

Try pivoting your inside foot on the footpeg, so your heel is up on top of the heel guard and your toes are pointed about 90 degrees from the front of the bike. Try to get your head and upper body more to the inside. Rest your outside arm on the tank and make sure to keep a loose grip on the bars.

Thanks Jeremy. I've been really trying to work on my body position. I still can't get my knee down and I think it's because my position isn't quite right yet. It's a hell of a lot of fun learning it though.

No problem. The key to getting your knee down is having your inside foot in the right position, which sticks your knee out there. Keeping your foot pointed forward, you will probably run out of ground clearance and low side before getting a knee down.

Yup. Take a look at some of Jeremy's pics- he's got really good form. When I ride, I pretend I'm Jeremy. Some day I want to grow up to be just like him.

Good idea. I'm going to put a label at the top of my tach that says, "Pretend To Be Jeremy". This should help.

I have the form down so it looks like I go fast in pictures. In reality, I get smoked by the 2-up cruiser/touring bikes:

Maybe a dumb question but why are the mirrors tucked in? Is there a chance they could rub? Thats a sharp lookin bike, paint looks incredible in the sun.

Thanks. The mirrors are folded back to protect them in the event of a get-off. My local track doesn't require them to be removed but they are a distraction if they are in their functional position. It's mostly to protect them though.

ETA: The deep blue pearl that Suzuki has is an amazing color in the sun.

Operational rear view mirrors (and untaped glass) are not allowed on any race track. Mirrors also tend to break the fairing stay if you fling it with mirrors sticking out. Most people just remove them, but I suppose taping and folding is okay.
