Your best bet would to be to go even with your rhino line. I ran into the same problem you are facing in making the corners. Level it out and go to town.

Old pics of my first truck. Would buy it back in a heartbeat if given the chance. Had to sell it before I was done with it.

lol, I still remember how sore I was the weekend I painted it. Something like 50 cans of satin gray.

Probably the nicest Excursion I have seen!

Very well done with the lift and tires, how about some info and specs?

Diesel?

It's covering where I welded in new metal on some rust repair. It's the new winter truck so no big deal.

Are you in the Richmond area? Looks familiar

Actually I live in Gloucester and work in VA beach. My engine builder and dyno is in Richmond, near Ashland and I go up that way a lot - plus Gander and Greentop of course.

It is a 2004 Eddie Bauer with an 05 grill and currently has a built 6.0 power stroke, Egr Delete, Head studs, Wicked Diesel Insanity Tune, Edge CTS, MBRP exhaust, cat and muffler delete - I have a 12V Cummins that will be going in this Spring with a destroked kit.

6" Procomp lift, Bilsteins, 4.56 gears, True Trac in the rear, probably get an E-locker for the front, Vair Onboard air, Amp Research retractable Running boards,  37x13.5x17 Toyo's, Mile Marker manual hubs to replace the troublesome Ford Vacuum units, HID 5K headlights, full entertainment system for the kids + tons o bugout gear.   Has 2008 Power Fold/Telescoping mirrors going on this weekend

Currenty having a Cross Enterprises rear bumper with swing out tire carrier/fuel tank holder built. Like this one since the 37 spare won't fit in the stock location.

Sweet lookin rig, but why the heck does that guy have a 5 lug spare on an 8 lug truck?

Here is my 1948 with some new bling. Hubcaps, changed the mirrors from square to round, painted the interior, added a "faux" gas tank. Actually a toolbox. Vintage crank pump. It is from the 70's....looks like a modern Fill-Rite at a glance, but very different than a newer one.

Awesome actually. Trapping 147 in the quarter without spray. Trying a new 1500hp clutch for this spring and hopefully that will be enough to hold my power and get my old pig deep in to the 9's, maybe a high 8. If not, its getting a TH400.

Finally sits like a real truck now, leveled on 35s.  It's got a bunch of other stuff too, thinking of ditching the side steps, not sure.  Crappy pic but meh.

Working on the lift today.  6" Rough Country.  They left some parts out of the box, so I got as far as tearing down the front end and dropping the differential.  Parts should be here tomorrow.

What I'm hoping it looks like (quick photochop) after the lift with the 315/70/17's.

What it looked like when I brought it home:

2000 Suburban 4x4 LT.  All leather, TV, power everything.

Yeah, I was thinking about it but I like how easy it is to get into now.  I'd buy a set of amp research steps but I is poor now.

Me too!

I always take my deer photos in the field, but I do have a photo of a big buck in the back of the F-150 Flareside 4X4 that I just sold.

Well next fall you will have to come update!

Pic thread so here is my truck in use. First buck in this truck.

Gotta love the flaresides. My '99 that I recently sold was a flareside, but when I started looking at the '04-'08 F-150's, I was looking at all of them. But, after seeing a flareside listed for sale, I knew right then that I was going to get one of those instead of the styleside. Suddenly, I went from having probably a hundred choices in my area to less than a half dozen. The flaresides sure are a rare breed, at least around here.

Until the last year, I had seen one other flareside.  I've seen 3-4 of them since then, but quite rare as far as it goes.

I drove 200 miles roundtrip to look at a red one last Saturday, 100 miles roundtrip to look at a blue one on Sunday, and 200 miles roundtrip to look at and buy this black one last Tuesday.

I've seen a yellow one (for more than a year), a black one, a silver one, (another color too I think) and my white one, which my dad purchased new (its an '04) - which I finally got him to sell me.  Love having 56K on a garaged truck, and I put half those on (at least)

I honestly haven't decided yet.  I like that it hides the dropped torsion bars and crossmember.  My wife likes it because she can get in easier - same with the kids.  I'm thinking eventually I'll make some rock sliders that will double as a step.

Here she is, done!
