Police continued their search today for a robber they say fatally
shot a store clerk Wednesday night despite the employee offering no
resistance.
The shooting and robbery, which occurred shortly
before 10 p.m. at Smokey's Paradise convenience store at 5310 E.
Rosedale St., was caught on video, according to Sgt. Pedro Criado, a
police spokesman.
The slain clerk has been identified as Azmi Elqutob, 66, of Arlington.
