The bowling pins look like tooth picks now

The pins were a nice idea, thanks Ray for dragging 'em out.  (these were repeatedly stood up, shot over, shot again, and again...and again...and again...then stood back up and the process repeated)

5.56mm does some damage on vinyl-covered wooden pins, but the .30cal and up varieties really put a serious hurting on them.  The carnage was so bad, the wood and lead fragments were shredding the paper targets behind the pins.

Best mini-blast I've been to so far.  Already looking forward to the next one.

Thanks to all who help organize this event. For you guys that shot at Bullet Hole, fire me up a email when you guys plan on heading down.  I'm 10 minutes away.

Thanks very much for a wonderful time and thanks to Bobby, Ray & Buckeye GC especially!

There was a point around 3:30ish where I was questioning whether the feeling would ever return to my hands once they warmed up - but I kept shooting anyway. (Note to self - shooting gloves)

Also, I was able to determine that I was having a "light strike" problem on Milsurp primers with my AR10 (outfitted with JP trigger / speed hammer - the likely cause of the problem).

And the Sicilian pizza was a FINE way to end the day.

it was great seeing you guys again
even if i was there for only about an hour or so

I guess I wont be using 3" Magnum loads anytime soon
hopefully I also straighten out my RAS issue
I fixed it but i hope it stays that way
that solved the FTE issue I was having

Jonas, hook up with twl, for his take IF the MGI recoil buffer is a fit application to the "project gun" - nothing worse than having your gun beat you up. TAME the BEAST!

That is ok Mr. John M. Browning was able to help get the weapon clear.  Who would have thought that a tool that was made for a M1919A4 machine gun would fix an AK.  Just goes to show you that JBM is still the King.

We all had a great time thank you to Bobby for setting this up and thank you to Ray for letting us Buckeye.

why
BTH
is showing tactical stuff
pushing the limits of the SBR in our town
its a sniping handgun
kinda like a handgun with a foregrip but not really
or the high power benchrest handgun

BTH
I think im going to build another 870
these are my thoughts
another 870P with the orange less lethal stock with a matching orange M9 bayonet
since i found a rear lug
and since its not all black but resuce orange
it might not pissoff the higer ups
and it says less lethal
and oxymoron when used with 3" magnum slugs
what do you think?
I think its kinda funny in a way
it might happen sooner than later as I found a killer price on the 870P MAX

Finally

Actually, my XD was a little sick after putting a few rounds thru it Sunday. I emailed the gunsmith who worked on it last and gave him details to what it was doing, he got back to me today with instructions to dis-assemble the XD and make adjustments. It is back together. just have to wait till the weekend to test run it again.

J, stick to the 870 Police magnum receivers, they're heavy duty.

yes heavy duty
the PMAX is an 870P
its just all done up
hey i dont think you
allowed yourself to
do some shoulder damage
my arm is still killing me from the 3" magnumsi guess its time for reduced recoil
although
magnums
sound so much more MANLY
shotgun slugs for the manly man
hahhhaa

Yup ! My bad. It's been a long time since I've been to the Remington site and I comlpetely
forgot about Pmax. I had to refresh my memory.

Not without approval you don't! .

The price is already good, and if 555 can work a better price for the two (or 3, if Sjauch is in) of us to buy at once in cash, then it's a spectacular deal.  If there's a way we can get better pricing for a bunch of us then I'd have to forcefully insist that as many people get on as possible because the price will become nothing short of unbelieveable.

but you cant have that mag extension
however that would take the pain off the 3" magnums
I wonder if they make a less lethal orange stock for that one
can you block the mag extension on those
I would buy one instantly

Right. 6 shotshells max. But an extension kept handy on the side for out of State travel

I believe that the magazine capacity is restricted to no more than 6.  It is legal.

none of those 1187s fit the NJ legal limit then huh
I just think they look weird without the mag extension
then again thats must me
maybe a plus one wouldnt be so bad
and then I can put an M9 on the front of that one too

That's not the locking mechanism PK.  The locking lever is on the opposite side of the mount.  You can see the tip of the lever just ahead of the XD's dust cover; it's in the unlocked position.  It is not possible to lock it in place...  As I said, an ARMS mount is not compatible with the XD's rail.

anyone with a link to the NJ laws that tell us what we can have? I had a Maadi akm back in the day, sold it, and now find myself feeling naked not owning something in 7.62x39. I guess a sks would do, but if I can find an evil looking compliant ak - all the better!
