OK everyone, here we go again! Based on the gathering interest thread, Surefire lights were the clear winner so I've got a deal arranged.
First the ground rules: This buy will progress as follows: 1) Ordering Phase - You order a light or two. (duh) I will record your order and provide instructions for sending payment. 2) Purchasing Phase - Once I receive all orders and money, I will purchase the products and have them sent to me. 3) Delivery Phase - Once I receive the products from the vendor, I will commence with distribution to everyone. Final delivery of these lights will be primarily by me in person. Everyone who orders will have my address so you can arrange to come to me. I will also plan a couple of group outings (like lunch or something) where we can meet. Lastly, if someone needs or wants it shipped to them, we can discuss that as a unique thing. Of course, this will add some cost to your personal order. (USPS isn't that much $$) I have arranged for a choice of 5 different Surefire products. The prices listed are total price, including delivery to me and personal delivery to you. Shipping directly to you, if desired, will cost more! If you have any questions about delivery or want to discuss, definitely send me an IM or email. I have tried to offer choice on the models and both personal and weapon lights. Depending on number of orders, we may ultimately need to drop a model or two from the line up. As orders are accumulated, we will deal with this if needed. (I don't think we'll have a problem, though) In total, I would like to see us get 20 lights ordered. (my personal goal) So, here are the lights with links to their descriptions on the Surefire website: A) E2D === Group Buy Price $78 === Description B) L4 LumaMax === Group Buy Price $120 === Description C) U2 Ultra === Group Buy Price $195 === Description D) M952XM07 === Group Buy Price $312 === Description E) M900A === Group Buy Price $430 === Description As with all my buys, there is full disclosure. I will not be making a single penny on this deal. This price is exactly what I need to pay for the product. I do this for us, not for profit... Payment options include check, USPS money order or PayPal (plus fee). Ordering is now closed. Please send in your payments ASAP! I am going to send out IMs to everyone who ordered with instructions on how to pay. Please respond to that IM and let me know how you are going to pay. I'd like to have all payments in by Sunday 11/20 at the latest. My goal was 20 lights, we got 22 - thanks guys! |

U2 Ultra for me
Didn't think I wanted a surefire until I saw an adjustable output LED model. |
One E2D.
Big thanks for putting this group buy together! BTW, Any other stuff (acc's, batt's, etc) in this buy, or strictly the lights on the list? |
I have an E2D... great light, and these prices are great... damn you!
OK Ahnuld |
Just for the record you need to pay for these. Can't win them Mike |

This is bazaar. This guy runs from NJ yet still maintains a stronghold on the NY & NJ forum. Then he sucks up to the PA crew by including them in the NY & NJ group buy. I hope he still votes in NJ. I’ll hook you up with a light. We won’t tell Rob. Mike |

All Surefire lights come with one set of batteries. i.e., if the light takes 2 batteries, 2 come with it. (at least, every light I've ever got) I'm checking on prices for extra boxes of batteries as an extra option for those interested. |
I know, I'm sorry about that... |
Since you are the only guy from VA that I will see face-to-face on a semi-regular basis, you can play too. Besides, you've got my mags! |
That right there is some funny stuff! |
Now I just have to decide what I want. |
Oh, |
Well let me ponder your other options for a bit. |
I'm in for one E2D, but only if FMJunkie delivers it to my door in Manhattan on a red velvet pillow trimmed with gold ribbon.
Or, if he won't do that, I'll have him mail it to me. |
I'll tell ya - this is hard!!! The decision, that is - very hard!
Here's how to make it easier, get the most expensive one you can afford. E2 is the best I can do, sadly... |
This calls for the AFRCOM decision making process. Get'em all Mike |
I don't have any velvet pillows but I could wear my pink thong? |
How about I buy them all and hold a raffle? I'll sell Thom 5 raffle tickets and GIVE you 100 raffle tickets. This way, Thom can have all 5 fair and square... |

Rob any chance of getting some boxes of batteries to go along with the lights ? Be nice to get a few while we're at it .
I'm checking on the price of batteries, will post as soon as I hear back. |
Does anyone have the L4 light ? I was wondering how you like the LED light over the Xenon light .
Regarding batteries - As many of you know, batteries are sold pretty much at cost directly from Surefire and other outlets. Because of this, there really isn't a deal to be had on them. However, for convenience sake, you can order extra batteries for $1.25 a piece. That's $15/box of 12 just as listed on the Surefire website.
NOTE: THESE ARE PENTAGON LIGHT BRAND BATTERIES, NOT SUREFIRE BRAND IMHO, same thing but just to be clear... Remember that your lights come with one set of batteries. If you want to order extras with the light, let me know how many and I'll add them on to your order. |
I have a few SF lights all in xenon. Based on the LED versions I have seen and played with, the light from the LED is more even/consistent than the xenon. Its hard to explain but as good as the SF xenon lights are, the LED has even less of a "hot-spot" issue. Much more uniform light. Also, the tint of the light is a little different. Kind of like the difference between halogen car lights and HID headlights, if that makes any sense. Lastly, where the xenon lights will suddenly die when the batteries go, the LED will run much longer with low-level light output. (you won't suddenly have a non-working light on your hands) |

Bwawahahahahahah. |

We've reached our minimum, which is a great thing! Still hoping for more orders, though...
If anyone is on the fence, feel free to ask questions. If you're concerned about delivery, just ask me and we can work it out. |
I'd like to add one box of 12 batteries to my order please... (+$15)
Thanks again, Rob! BoBo' |
I definitely want something, I'm just not sure what...I'm torn between the more budget minded price for the E2D, or the slightly more "features" of the L4. I'd also be in for a box of batteries. I'd love a weapon-mount light, but I can't afford it, as even the U2 is probably a bit much for me right now (although I like the variable light output).
Lemme see if I can help:
Regarding LED's - Advantages - Will still run on batteries that are considered dead on an incandescent bulb flashlight. - Generally much longer runtime than incandescent bulbs. - LED's are considered "tougher" than incandescent bulbs. Disadvantages - current LED Technology still doesn't have the "throw" or "horespower" that incandescents do when it comes to pure blinding light |
I'm in I just don't know what application I am going to address OR just buy in expectation of one. Rob- I think others might find some comfort in possible optional weapon attachment hardware suggestions. Just a thought. L_d |

I'm in for an L4 LumaMax!
I've had a couple of Surefire lights, my current is the E2L which is very similar to the L4 LumaMax. The main difference is that the L4 LumaMax has the KL4 LED head while mine has the KL1 LED head. Mine produces less light, but for a longer time. I feel that the L4 LumaMax would be a good upgrade since it's runtime of 1 hour at full brightness should be plenty for me and the extra hour and a half of diminishing light would be able to get me out of a jam. I used to have an E2e which is very similar to the E2D being sold here. The thing I didn't like about it was the fragile lamp. After I broke a couple by dropping the light, I never felt like I had a reliable light. The lamps would also get black inside. It did have a good throw, but my current LED E2L does as well, so the L4 LumaMax should really shine since it has twice the light output. I just like knowing that the LED will always be reliable, and the LED is also covered by Surefire's lifetime warranty if you ever have a problem, unlike the expensive lamps. |
Silly question, but all SF have Lifetime guatantees???
Or just the ones that are marked so??? |
Welcome to the site! |
"Guarantee Lamps will burn out, batteries will be used up, and tape switches for WeaponLights™ will eventually need to be replaced. Everything else is covered by our lifetime no-hassle guarantee: If it breaks, we fix it!" I can tell you from personal experience that they are a good company. I had a problem with a tailcap switch, wrote them an e-mail explaining the problem and included my home address, received a reply 1 business day later informing me a new switch was already sent out. I received the switch a few days later, they never asked for the broken switch to be returned, saving me time and money.
Thanks! |
