Brady is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours Northwest of Austin.  Take 71 out of Austin.  If in DFW area, take 377 to Grandbury, Stephenville, Brownwood, then Brady.

I found two Brady's on Mapquest, this is the one in McCulloch County?

Not sure what county it is, but it is about 100 miles NW of Austin, just off Highway 71.  (Class will be held on a friend of mine's family ranch.)

You are correct.  McCulloch County.  Nice town.  Good deer hunting around there too.

Yup, Brady's in McCulloch County.  Where 87 and 71 meet.

Don't think I'm going to be able to make the class, AShooter, as work's going to intrude (might even be in Canada starting up a new facility around that time.)  But if y'all hit Mac's for dinner, or just want to get together for a beverage after, look me up.  After all, I live here.

The way I'm reading their website, it seems that you have to be LE or current MIL to enroll.  Is that right?

NO!...  His "Application" is a little bit confusing.  You have to send in one of the following with the Application:

1)  Xerox copy of your Concealed Handgun License
2)  Xerox copy of a LEO, or military I.D.
3)  "Letter of Good Conduct" from your local Sheriff or Chief of Police - I would think any letter on Dept letterhead (signed by the CLEO) that says you're not a felon or a looney would be okay.

Okay, so I only need one.  I can swing that.  Now let me see if I can come up with 2k rounds and $480 by February and I'm in! Thanks for the heads-up.

Pat emailed me Friday to say that "a bunch" signed up when he announced it at 10-8forums, and I'm going to announce it to about 40-50 people at a "tactical carbine" match this coming Saturday...  So if you're seriously interested, you might want to go ahead and get your application and deposit sent in ASAP.

I think the max number of shooters is going to be 20.  There are already at least 6 or 8 signed up.
