Who would be interested in a get-together in April 1-3 at TIGER Valley (the south facility in Watt, TX, where Gunstock is held)? This would be a camping, weekend deal. There would be a charge. The price per person for range fees will be $25/day. Camping fees will be $5/night for tents, $10/night for RV hookups. So far there have been 2 out of 4 RV hookup spaces called for.

Hours of operation are going to be from 0900 on Friday, April 1 and run through Sunday, April 3 at 1600.

Absolutely. If it ends up around $25/day for a full tactical and KD range and camping fees.... well... that is CHEAP. (that's good... cause I am cheap too)

Hail yeah!

I want to see how well my big boomstick does at ranges longer than 200 yards. I should be able to get a couple hunnerd rounds loaded up by then...

And of course, spending some time with the Texas Crew will be good, too!

Yes, TJ and I have discussed the first weekend in April, but that's still not set in stone. I wanted to make sure people had a chance to recover for the Farm.

I think we need to keep everything open at one time. We could have everyone shoot from the 1000 yard line and have steel set up at various distances. That way no one has to go forward of the firing line. WE could place steel from 300 to 1000 yards. Just don't shoot the close stuff with your .50's it leaves nasty holes I have to weld.

I will be out of town that weekend. Taking some Engineering and Science students to a NASA sposored competition. But, if things change, I'll see what I can do to be there.

Actually we're planning on making this a weekend-long event. There is camping available on-site. This is the same facility which has hosted Gunstock for the last 2 years.

I'd love to... But Comma However..... There is an 18 month old daughter and a bunch of other stuff going on right now as well that would preclude us from having what most would consider "fun".

$25/day for range fees = $75 for the weekend, per person. Why so high? Typical range fees at the old Winchester Range weren't that high last time I was there.

2 nights of camping = $10 per tent, $20 per RV. This is reasonable, assuming they have facilities like showers, toilets, etc. Since Tiger Valley is off of Luna Rd. and Northwest Highway, I think I would pass on the camping and stay locally. Anyone up for a visit to The Lodge after shooting?
