Alright, I'll make the thread. There has been talk of a shoot that folks outside of the metro Atlanta area can get to also......see this thread: www.ak47.net/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=35&t=205097
This shoot will be for all of the GA gang, even the ones who don't have a chance at the FOP or CE shoots. We want to meet everyone! This is the DNR range in Bleckley County. It is called Ocmulgee. It is about 12 miles off I-16 exit 32. Tentative palns are to meet at about noon on the 30th at exit 32, maybe get some food, and then go to the range. Who's up for this one? I'm there with at least one of my sons, maybe two of them. ETA as of 23 Jul 05: List of those coming so far.... Sound off if I don't have you on the list or on the right list!!!!!!! archer2 treelander bchboy1206 usmctopgun LARRYG csr P806 On the fence: thompsondd BigPhil Jason280 0-320 suppo eodtech2000 |

Yeah I can be there...I'm about 30 miles away. Anyone from Warner Robins/Macon/Bonaire/Kathleen wanna ride with me?
Or if some of you guys are coming from farther away...I can meet you at the intersection of 96 and 247 and ya'll can follow me down. The first time there it can be hard to find. Just look for the Pulaski Women's Prison. Hehehe. Dan. |
Count me in, I will be coming from Milledgeville.
Will there be any costs at the range? |
Nope it's a WMA range....ofcourse there will be a charge for the shots of whiskey and beers we drink before shooting.
Hey! You're the one that started this! You better be there!!!!! |
I'm going to do my best. Got other things going on right now, but I'm going to try. |

It is a little over 2 hours to exit 32 for me. hmmmmm.

Count me out on that one guys, last saturday of the month and my month is already struggling and I got to stay to make some money. I'll try to catch the next one. If I'm having a good month I dont mind taking off a Saturday or a Sunday to shoot. The boss understands, wiait that would be me
I'll be there and will probably have a friend from Macon and his son meet us at the exit.
C'mon Byte.......I have to travel 2+ hrs too! |
I just checked my work calendar and I

Dang, don't know if I can swing it or not, but will definitely try since I am the GA newbie. |
yep |
Remember that this being a WMA range..."group shoots" aren't suppose to happen. So we have to just be a group of friends who just happen to show up at the same time.

I'll think about it. I could pick up my son from Mercer and come on down. I'll see what I can do.
ESSENTIAL QUESTION (called 'enticement'): Is there a Hooter's nearby? If so, it will probably get some more of the ATL folk to commit!
Hooters is about 30 mins north of the range, so it would be on the way back home for you Atlanta guys.
Hey GACop, you should bring your son. I hope to start back at Mercer in August, if the Marine Corps will turn me lose. I have been on convolescent leave for about 6 months after getting injured in Iraq last year. Anyways, we might be able to get together and go shoot in Macon sometime. |
where is bleckley, i usually get on 16 at Dublin, then it is about 1 hour to macon???????
About half way. The range is off exit 32. |
For some reason I thought the shoot was AUG 30. My son won't move in at Mercer until 8/13.
Does that mean that you and your son are gonna be there or not? Maybe we should meet at the exit at about 1100 so onemangang and/or usmctopgun can lead us to Scott's or Truett's. |
Sounds good to me! Who else from the ATLANTA area is going?........Bookhound?, the_reject?, kblagg?, kletzenkluffer?, braddD?, Delta?............... |

Somebody's been snooping around in other peoples files at Photobucket again. Somebody will be along shortly to admister the bitch...... |
I'm really hoping you posting that doesn't piss off Jason. As that would NOT be cool.
That said, his lady is a very nice looker, but is also a very, very sweet person. I've had the pleasure of meeting this fine young lady and she is classy for sure. Jason should be proud. (But if for some reason Jason does not want this picture posted, just say the word.) |
DAMN, I havent seen my wife for over a month and a half now and seeing that kinda shit just aint good for my head. But nice pic non the less.
If he didn't want it posted, I doubt he would have posted them in the Team Clubhouse, where there are several more pics of this lady. I have not been snooping around in anybodys photo albums either. However, if Jason wants this taken out of the GA forum, just IM or email me, and I will gladly take it down. |
I am sure JASON280 is very proud proud of his Lady and with every right to be, but what are you people blind, it's the gun that is on display here, he Is it now 1100 at exit 32 to go eat first? Either way count me in.
Jim |
That sounds like the plan, but no one else has chimed in. |
I'm all for 1100 at exit 32. Alright gang, sound off if you are going to the shoot! |
I'll try to make this, if I can get the new rotors and pads installed on my car on Friday, I will show up.
C'mon man he posted this in TEAM forum, this is not the TEAM forum. Brother, this aint to cool. |
YEAH, YIPPEE, YOO-HOO!!! I'm from Bleckley County (now Macon)!!!
Too awesome. I'll try to be there. What are we bringing? Rifles, pistols, whatever? This will be the first time at a ARF.com event, and it's in my hometown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOOOOOO COOL!!! (Is it the DNR Range in Pulaski near the women's prison? I'm not familiar with one in Bleckley.) Oh yeah, I think Scott's is better than Truett's. |
What part of town are you in? I have room in the truck. |
I don't know about the one in Pulaski. Just be at exit 32 off I-16 at 1100 Saturday morning 7/30. |
Whatever, he is obviuosly very proud/bragging about his girl...which he should be, she is gorgeous. Like I said, if he has a problem w/ it being up, all he has to do is IM or email me, and it will come right down. Hell, I wish I could get my girl to let me take a few pics of her like that. Back to the subject at hand, I'll be there. Everyone needs to decide what they want as far as food. If you want country cooking, Truett's is the place. If everybody wants BBQ or a good cheeseburger, then we should head over to Scott's. Anybody bringing any tannerite? I am not sure what the policies are at the DNR, but we have about 1500 acres of land about 20mins from the range. CSR and I have been wanting to pick up a case or two, but would like to see a demo of it first. Just a thought. Anyways, I am looking forward to seeing everyone there. |
I should be good to go, I live in Bonaire so I am only a few miles up the road from the range. If you all plan on getting something for breakfast, stop in Macon or Warner Robins, there is not a whole hell of a lot in Hawkinsville. There is a Hooters in Warner Robins on Watson Blvd next to Office Depot. |
I'm a little late chiming in but I won't be able to make it. I've been way too busy lately. |
There isn't crap in Hawkinsville. Thats where I'm from. If you blink you may miss it. |
What about AB's? Last time I was in there it seemed like there was a contest on who could be the most obnoxious. |
