Just wondering what your experience was for getting the signoff for class III items. How long did the overall process take?

I've heard the Sherriff is pretty good about signing.  I'm pretty sure there are members here with Class 3 stuff that live in Fairfax Co.  I'm sure someone will chime in soon.

No problem. Wait just depends on how busy Lt Tracy is.

Takes around 3 weeks.  Sometimes longer and sometimes quicker.  Just don't be in a hurry and everything will go smooth.

Couple weeks, and LT Tracy was on vacation when I left my paperwork at his office.  He completed it and mailed it back to me with the necessary signatures.  Great guy.

My fastest of 5 sets of paperwork came back in a week, exactly.  The slowest, and also the first, was 4 weeks.

I'm not sure many people would know that you are talking about Doug Stockton... aka Title II / Class III Dealer.

Va-Gunnut, how about adding a list of all Title II dealers to the Important topics?  Something like the NFA by country but have NFA dealers.  Since more and more are having form 4's.

Here are a few choices...
1. Shooters Paradise in Woodbridge. www.shootersparadise.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

2. Innovative Tactical Solutions www.innovativetactical.com/Contact.htm

3. John Brown "Battlefield Sports Ltd." 4451 Brookfield Corporate Drive
Chantilly, VA 20151 Phone: (703) 263-7676 [email protected]

I've always used John Oliver down in Farmville.  Though my next might be more local since gas prices are OOTW.  Out of this world.

John Brown, Dane Mfg. and Hallmark Small Arms are already listed here:

Don't forget Bob Lennox of Lennox Lock Service and Lennox Arms.

1630 NORTH BARTON ST.
ARLINGTON, VA  22201
(703) 527-2932

He handles regular transfers, as well as Title III stuff.  $40 and $100, respectively.

Title II Firearms.

$40 for a regular firearm transfer?  Yikes.  That is steep.  $100 for Title II is pretty good though.
