After a long time searching, I joined the big boys club today.

Thanks to ASG and JSbunchofgawdamnnumbers for telling me about the rifle, CavVet for selling me the rifle, Stokes for brokering the deal and Da_Bunny for my first two clips.

I also bought 400 rounds of Greek ammo from James.

It was an expensive day at the gun show.  But well worth it.

Congrats on your purchase and membership into the club.

Be sure to visit:  www.jouster.com  On the top of the opening page is the CSP Table of Contents.  Lots of data and information about Garands here including researching your serial number and date of manufacture.  Also on the opening page, scrool down to the bottom and you'll find all the different gun discussion boards.

We'll hear back from you in about a week or so.....

I got all the info you need.  That rifle was stolen from my grandfather two years ago in Centrailia.  Are you going to ship it to me or should I have the sheriff pick it up?

It's a joke son....

Most guys don't post serial numbers because they are afraid some grinch will claim a stolen gun.  Notice I didn't quote the number verbatim.

Sorry.  Couldn't remember which one of you it was.  My mind went into meltdown after the mention of an M1.

Post corrected.

Stripped the Garand all the way down today.  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

It's off to be parkerized on Wednesday.

In the meantime, I'll be refinishing the stock.
