Jeff is a nice guy.  Glad to know they are available with Safe/Fire. I hate pictograms.

Nice looking lowers, I am going to have to put one real high up on my "things to buy after I find a good job out there" list, I think right after an XD40, once my family and I get settled in AZ in about 2 months.

Here's the finished product of originall receivers picked up from Arizona Armory.

Decided on calibers due to them being more affordable at current ammo pricing.

Black one was built in a 9mm AR,came out sweet !  Jeff is Da Man !

Flat dark Earth one is in 7.62x39 caliber.Flat Dark Earth coating is Ceranite coat(ceramic coat)it was applied by Gordon at Bigbore.

Thanks to Jeff at Arizona Armory for AR's + parts, and Gordon at Bigbore for Ceranite coating.

you know you want one !

Wow, that dark-earth finish is the cat's meow. You've done a nice job. Why do you prefer an A2 upper over A3 combined with the Magpul™ collapsible?
Link Posted: 6/14/2008 2:41:37 PM EDT
[#18]
Have always liked the A2 upper over the A3....No issues with sights, dont have to worry about sights loosening,no worries about batteries...Problem free upper and problem free sights.....

Have both Aimpoint and Eotech sights, with flip ups...but i use my AR's with Iron sights more than Optics,Just pick up ,point and shoot,Nothing to flip up,nothing to turn on....that could change as my Eyeballs are getting older and fuzzier ! Already cant see the front sight on some of my 1911's......!

As for the magpull ctr stock.....it just feels good,no sharp edges, and completley locks up,no wobble or noises, very solid stock.

Nice set of AR's there coltnut.

I agree with you on diversifying into other calibers, I built up a nice 9mm AR15 a year ago and it has been a joy to shoot especially with Winchester 9mm ammo still at just under $200 out the door (1,000 rounds) at any local WalMart.

I am goint to have to look for one of these lowers at the Crossroads gun show in July.  Kind of nice to have a spare on hand.

Right now I'm debating about whether I want a 9mm AR or a 20" "tack driver". Either way, once I have the funds, Jeff gets another build from me!

I just bought a lower from him last weekend, great guy!  He has a little shop on 21st and Fillmore, south of McDowell.  Just pull in to Hurricane Holes and ask for Jeff, he rents space from them.  He does have matched billet uppers and lowers from Sundevel too, at great prices.  He'll also be at the show at the state fairgrounds this weekend.

I got one this weekend late Sunday.  They were hard to find but they only had a few left.  I am so excited.  I cannot wait to start building it.

Jeff and his crew were nice to work with and very helpful.  I will purchasing more from them I am sure.

Just the impression I got, but my feeling is that Sun Devil would much rather be in the business of being a manufacturer and selling in bulk and would rather not deal too terribly much with the end users.

No knock on their customer service at all (it's been excellent); just a comment on my perception of what amounts to a business decision.
