Im working with RB Precision to get some stripped lowers with the FDCC logo engraved into the port side magwell. The lowers are made by Superior Arms, here's the link to the lowers that RB is selling. We're trying to get them in as low as we can, but we'd like to know how much interest there is in these. We're going to make these one way or the other. The only question is... how many? Can you guys give me an idea if you think you might like one?
We're pretty sure the cusrtom engraved lowers will sell for $140. They will include a custom serial number, probably something like FDCC 001 etc etc. The logo we'll use is at the top left of our www site; FDCC Web Site. Here's an example of how their engraving turns out (pretty good I think) |

Count me in. I have been waiting for an excuse to build up one from scratch, so this seems like the right opportunity. -White Horse |

At least one possibly more depending on the price.

Mike (the owner of Spike's Tactical) has quite a bit of experience dealing with custom engravings (actually stampings rather than engravings) and also laser etchings on AR's. He could arrange for the FDCC logo not on the right side of the gun as an add on but to make it actually be a "FDCC" lower as stamped by the factory on the LEFT side, complete with any and all ATF approval. This can probably be done for the same or less as having somebody else do it on the right side where it is actually just decoration as opposed to the left side where the ATF designates the manufacturing info....
Mike has worked with some of the very best factories there are. Did you know that both Bushmaster and DPMS have their lowers made (start to finish) in the same factory? Mike has a close working relationship with the owners of that factory and some of the other true AR lower producers as well. He will be getting a shipment of 100 Spike's Tactical lowers in the next week or so and next month he will be getting 250. He is also working on an AR lower with the same markings as the HK guns complete with the full auto markings! (the gun will be strictly semi though! - nothing says it can not be marked as an auto gun, as long as it only shoots semi) Just a thought if this other place does not work out. |
Any chance we could get the lowers marked "SAFE,SEMI" instead of "SAFE,FIRE"?
How about "Hold Up" and "Get Some" ? |
Neil, I'm in for sure... Are you going to handle the FFL through gun gallery?
BTW the Bushmaster 308 you sold me works great, no stoppages and she's got about 1200 rounds through her, thanks -sc |
I'm in for one, depending on price.
ETA: Yep, in for one based on the proofs above. |
Any chance getting a price before next weekend's meet?

Yeah, I should have an idea of what they will go for by then. I will also have a picture of the logo cut into an aluminum block so you all will be able to see what it will look like. They did a block already and Rob told me it looks great. I cant wait to see it. Stay tuned for more details. Im pretty sure they cant do any custom stamping on the Safe and Fire settings.

Sweet. Depending on the price I will take one or two just because this is America and I can!
Now that I see how great they look, please put me down for two - one for me, one for my daughter. Thanks!

Would you like to adopt a son? |
Being a native of Vero Beach currently residing in OH (looking to move back to FL in the next year or two), I'm interested in one.
Price is pretty solidly estimated at $140 + $5 backround check... Lowers will have a custom serial # as well. Probably something like FDCC 001, etc, etc.
I will reserve specific serial #'s for people upon receipt of down payment. I've not talked about it with Chuck who is going to be the FFL we're using, but I think $100 will help us pay the initial bill and would be a good way to reseve the number you want.
I have an email in about what time frame we're looking at once we put in the order, and I will put that info here as soon as I get it... I hope no one want to fight me for it, but I want FDCC-001. |
I think that's fair, since you put this whole thing together. I'd like FDCC-002 if possible. Thanks. |
Definitely getting one. What methods of payment will you accept?
Please reserve -006 for me plz. Thanks. -White Horse |
I'll take one was just about to order a stripped one too lucky me.
Those of you on the FDCC list know Chucks a little busy right now, and I will have to talk to him about what payments he can accept and how we need to work this out. As things shape up I will put the info here.
If we can pick the FDCC number I will like to request FDCC556

The lowers are all done. They are just waiting for me to tell them how many to engrave. I will be getting back with them by Tuesday to say how many the order is for. As soon as I do, they will start engraving and we'll have them in hand about 3 weeks after that. So, if you have not already said so, get in for your lower now. I will be getting with CS223 very soon to arrange payment. Like I said, $140 + $5 background check for the lower. $100 down will reserve yours.
Based on feedback here I count 22 people who expressed interest. I'll probably order 30 of them with that as my gauge unless people start chiming in here quick. |
Seriuosly though, these lowers look nice... I think I might have to get me one... FDCC015? |
Please don't include me in your total numbers. I just had a rather large tax setback and don't have the extra cash at the moment.
Thanks |
Being that I'm in Ft. Lauderdale, I obviously won't be coming up to the shop in Jax to pick mine up. What do I need to do to get one down to me? I should be able to get Steyraug to do the transfer for me down here.
And, I would like either #13, or if someone has seniority on me, I'll take the highest number (#30?). |
Neil, how do we get you the money? I may stop up at Gun Gallery tomorrow, to talk anyway.
-sc |
Can these be shipped direct to us if we're in FL (i.e. no 01 FFL transfer needed)? I thought if shipped intrastate a purchase was no different than a FTF. ATF FAQ B2, ATF FAQ B8, and ATF FAQ B9. |
Absolutley not! ATF requires the transfer take place at the FFL's licensed premises. There are exception for gun shows, but definatley not through the mail. The 4473 must be completed and identification presented to the transferror to verify identity. How does B2 apply? That says you may buy long guns out of your state of residence. B8 is shipping regulations for USPS involving non-FFL's. B9 is shipping regulations for contract carriers (fed-ex, ups, etc) involving non-FFL's. None of the FAQ's you outlined have nothing to do with TRANSFERS of a firearm, only the shipping of them. These lowers will be shipped from the manufacturer to a dealer here in FL. All ATF regulations will be followed and licensee's will handle these transactions in accordance with state and federal law. |
Just asking the question. |
I'd like one as well. How do i get the money to you? I hope a money order is ok, just give me an address / contact info plz. I would like the following for the serial number plz...
either FDCC28185 or FCCC91101 if neither of these can be done, let me know, I'll think of something else. Thanks |
