I love the walnut stock I got from Fred's and havent given much thought to or paid much attention to this black stock that came on the rifle from Springfield.  The other day, I ran across this paint that adds lots of texture and gives a stone look to the stock.  I'm love how it turned out, just thought I'd share.

That granite style paint looks good on that glass stock. Good idea!

I've looked at that stone paint before for painting a stock.  It does turn out quite nice.  Keep us posted about how it holds up to heat and wear.
