I just finished painting up a brand new USGI Fiberglass stock in a version of AR- CADPAT(Arid Region- Canadian Digital pattern, which is similar to MARPAT).
      My next project is to replicate the Green C.F. CADPAT. SKBY. |

And to go along with the desert, I have just complete the Temperate CADPAT.
     My Camera flash makes the colors on the stock a little funny, But the colors actually match up pretty well with the CADPAT sample in the pix. SKBY. |

This is just as good as the desert scheme that you did. How do you get the digital pattern?

To get the digital pattern, I hand cut templates that I traced off of CADPAT material samples.
It took about 4 hours just to trace and make the templates up.It is a pain in the butt, but it was worth it. SKBY. |

I would tend to agree that the time was well spent, yes. Very impressive. I would bet you could make some money doing that for others.

I actually do paint stocks as a sideline to help fund my "little" hobby.I basically just do it for fellow Canadians as you guys in the U.S. have a few great stock painters in Karsten, Skwidvicious and SixTgunner of Whamo-Camo to look after your needs.  SKBY. |
