I just finished painting up a brand new USGI Fiberglass stock in a version of  AR- CADPAT(Arid Region- Canadian Digital pattern, which is similar to MARPAT).

My next project is to replicate the Green C.F. CADPAT.

It was time consuming setting up to do this, but well worth it.

I'll post pics of out Temperate(green) CADPAT when finished.

And to go along with the desert, I have just complete the Temperate CADPAT.

My Camera flash makes the colors on the stock a little funny, But the colors actually match up pretty well with the CADPAT sample in the pix.

This is just as good as the desert scheme that you did.  How do you get the digital pattern?

To get the digital pattern, I hand cut templates that I traced off of CADPAT material samples.

It took about 4 hours just to trace and make the templates up.It is a pain in the butt, but it was worth it.

I would tend to agree that the time was well spent, yes.  Very impressive.  I would bet you could make some money doing that for others.

I actually do paint stocks as a sideline to help fund my "little" hobby.I basically just do it for fellow Canadians as you guys in the U.S. have a few great stock painters in Karsten, Skwidvicious and SixTgunner of Whamo-Camo to look after your needs.
