As I was loading up primer tubes tonight for my next run of 55 gr FMJBTs that my SCAR likes, I started thinking about reloading subsonic 223 ammo for my suppressor that I'm patiently waiting for (4 months pending thus far - Surefire 556-212). I'm initially going to use the suggestion from Hodgdon's manual which is 55 FMJBTs on top of some Trailboss. In reality, this isn't really a whole lot more than a high speed 22 Long Rifle.
I was wondering if any of you guys have loaded up some subsonics using the heavier bullets, the 69-77 grain ones? They'd have a little more weight behind them. In subsonics, I don't think that would be a bad thing. Am I off base here?
There is little information out there about reloading subsonic 223, and even less with heavier bullets. Is this just a round about way to talk myself into getting a 300 BLK?
